Changes in the global leaderboard in glory can already be seen. The question that remains is: which inactivity criterion is being adopted?
2 months?
1 month? 2 weeks?
1 week?
2 days?
I understand that the change is very welcome, but the criteria should be highlighted.
The AVANTE BR alliance also suffered with Glory Decay. We are doing regular wars with the last one ending 72 hours ago. There were 1174 glory points removed.

Despite understanding the need for control, it must obey well-defined and explicit criteria for the entire community.

What are the criteria?
- How long without wars does it take for the alliance to be penalized?
- Is there a minimum amount of wars within a period that must be done in order not to fall into the inactivity criterion?
- How is the removed score defined?
- Is there a minimum number of players within an alliance for it not to be considered inactive, even if the last war was recent?

Understand, the lack of defined criteria will always generate problems.

You are using the Glory Decay excuse to penalize alliances where players have left to seek rewards from the triumph event elsewhere under the guise of "protecting the glory system". This is why the criteria/parameters will never be disclosed, as there are none and the reasons are not what they claim to be.

I don't see point of cutting glory to teams, especially to teams like Ares. You just helping them to steel more glory from other teams in top position with moving them behind them. You move them behind lot's of teams and now they get more glory for matching a lot weaker teams. Glory system only on position is not good and you need to change that system.

Why you don't make like 2,3 weeks tournament and make good rewards and after reset of everyone glory?
Thats a very good idea actually. But instead of 2-3 weeks, they should make it longer. Maybe 4 times per years. Every season maybe?

we were inactive for 2 days. Which is like perfectly normal as every war takes 2 days to complete.

You al
Why were active warring teams affected by the glory decay? That should have been only applied to inactive teams. Can you give the broad strokes of the guidelines used to decide which teams get hit with the glory decay?
l wanted glory decay, suck it up

This is a strategy game, a strategy was used because other teams wouldn’t fight when facing Ares, they still don’t. If one aspect of this problem requires a solution (Glory Decay) then shouldn’t the other side also be penalized in a similar fashion?

Let’s be realistic here, EVERYONE has dealt with an opposing team that just didn’t try. How long has the community been requesting a “surrender war option” because of this exact reason? Those wars are boring and a waste of time.

Now imagine that happening to you almost every war? Doesn’t seem so fair anymore does it?

Regardless… these new parameters are useless and still easily avoidable wether kept a secret or not by using common sense on how the game functions. This won’t solve anything except hurt the Alliances that unfortunately find themselves in a similar situation as Greeks Reborn.

You want to solve the problem of Glory Sniping then solve the problem that created it in the first place. Add a forfeit war option, penalize alliances that don’t even try by having them lose extra Glory if they don’t get 75% of all possible stars (I think this would be the best solution), or give bonus Glory to the alliance that wins a blowout war. There are so many better solutions.

„penalize alliances that don’t even try“ - you never read Sun Tzu. Not fighting at all is a valid strategy in war too. Only cause you don’t like it isn’t a reason for penalizing a team.

Nice try attempting to say something slick but there’s one MAJOR flaw in your failed attempt…

By that logic than glory sniping strategy shouldn’t be penalized by these ridiculous parameters of Glory Decay.

Glory Decay was originally designed to remove inactive alliances from the leaderboard, now it’s been weaponized against Glory Sniping while negatively effecting other alliances (Greek Reborn)

Pretty sure sending highly trained troops into a weaker military location to dispatch an enemy would be considered a valid strategy in war as well… 🤔

I haven’t commented to the glory decay at all, I commented on your post. But you can try to understand Sun Tzu, there is a section in his notes which can be used to interpretate glory decay. Pretty sure it’s easy for you to read the book.

You’re literally commenting on a thread titled “Glory Decay Update” yet say you haven’t commented about that.

You decided to respond to a post I made that draws it out in crayons for you to understand how not attacking in wars was what caused Glory Sniping to start in the first place, which in turn was penalized by Glory Decay, then use the failed logic of “if you don’t like something there’s no reason for penalizing a team” to defend your opinion.

I agree though, Glory Decay should not be used to penalize Glory Sniping just because people don’t like it. Unfortunately it is being used for that, which results in the next course of action- also penalizing the teams that were the cause of Glory Snipings creation so it stops.

You can’t have it both ways.

I apologize if my previous response was unclear. I understand that Glory Decay was implemented as a penalty for Glory Sniping, which is a tactic that players use to intentionally avoid participating in wars in order to preserve their team's glory. However, I also believe that penalizing teams for not participating in wars is not an ideal solution, as it may unfairly punish teams that have legitimate reasons for not being able to participate. Ultimately, the best solution would be to address the root cause of Glory Sniping and find a way to deter players from using this tactic, rather than penalizing teams that may have been forced into it.

Incorrect. Glory Sniping is not used to preserve their glory, that implies the unwillingness to war which is the exact opposite of the truth regardless of how you want to twist things.

Glory sniping is used because others just lay down and don’t bother fighting and if they lose they only lose 15 glory (used to be less) when fighting stronger teams. When faced with the same lineup in a lower Alliance then they are forced to fight because they are risking losing 100-300 glory.

This is the root cause of the problem and why I think if the enemy team doesn’t get 75% stars there should be some type of consequence. (Easily obtainable with some effort even if it’s an uneven matchup). That would equate to 38/50 in a 10 man, 75/100 in a 20 man, and 113/150 in a 30 man war.

I am glad we had this dialogue because it allows others to see the bigger picture and not be confused by apparent misconceptions such as the one you stated.

I apologize if my previous response was not entirely accurate. You are correct that Glory Sniping is a tactic where players intentionally avoid participating in wars against stronger teams in order to preserve their team's glory, while actively seeking out weaker teams to fight in order to gain more glory. And the root cause of the problem is that, the enemy team doesn’t get 75% stars, and this is why Glory Decay was implemented as a penalty to discourage this behavior.

I understand your suggestion that if the enemy team doesn’t get 75% stars, there should be some type of consequence. This could be a possible solution to deter players from engaging in Glory Sniping, but it would also need to be implemented carefully to ensure that it does not unfairly penalize teams that may have legitimate reasons for not being able to achieve a certain number of stars.

Clearly reading comprehension is not your strong point and no matter how you try to twist the narrative to suit your needs it doesn’t make it factual. Here let me draw it out in crayons for you again…

You cannot snipe glory from a weak alliance when using a weak alliance, they would lose a normal amount of glory. Glory sniping is actually facing those same stronger teams that you ignorantly stated were being avoided so that they are forced to fight or lose a large amount of Glory. These are top 30 teams we’re talking about here.

I apologize if I misunderstood your previous message. As a language model, I rely on the information provided in a text prompt to generate a response. In this case, it seems that I did not fully understand the concept of "glory sniping" in the context you were referring to. Thank you for explaining it further.

Might be cause i practiced with Chat GPT for you. ;-)

😂 funny, but thanks for pointing out you’re incapable of holding an intelligent conversation on your own without using a bot.

Its the other way round - i dont see any benefit in investing time for you
Yet here you are… responding to my comments 🤦🏻‍♂️ such a clown…

Here’s an idea, be an adult and have an intelligent conversation, admit when a valid point has been made, and move on. Otherwise stfu and don’t reply to one of my comments then say you don’t see any benefit in investing time for me lololol
