DomiNations Update 12.5 makes a large set of changes to Coalitions and Spying. We’ve made adjustments to nearly all of the Coalitions for World Wars and made Spying much easier for those who have the ability unlocked. We’ve also added the next wave of upgrades for those in Automation Age, and implemented a button to quickly cycle through your defensive buildings!

Auto-Spying

As part of our quality-of-life improvements to the game we’re taking a look at a small but extremely helpful part of World Wars, Spying. Before this update, players with spying (unlocked through the Harriet Tubman research path in the University) would have to tap the Spy button on the opposing army’s base sharing the same number as you. Doing so would reveal information about that base to help you or your allies pick the best strategy to counter their defenses. But if you forgot to press that button, there would be no information available to your Allies.

That all changes with Update 12.5, and some of you may already have noticed the feature was live ahead of the Update release! So long as you have Spying unlocked the opposing base sharing your number will have their information revealed at the start of the planning phase.

We’ve certainly heard your feedback, and don’t worry, this is NOT the last time we’ll be updating Spying. We’re currently planning some larger changes to Spying, such as finally implementing Council and Manufactory information to your Spy Reports. While that’s still further out from being ready, we’d still love to hear your feedback on other changes you’d like to see!

Additional Updates

  • Added a ‘next’ button for Defensive Buildings.
    • This will function similarly to the Traps and Caravans’ ‘next’ button. This will help quickly find those lower-level buildings as you rise through the Ages and your bases become more complex! Personally, we didn’t like having to tap each building every single time and have to search for a specific one.
    • Are there any other quick buttons like this you think we should implement? We’re open to your feedback on other ways that we can streamline your play experience!
  • Updated visual building quality for Automation and Drone Age Buildings
    • Updated these buildings with higher definition visual quality to better align with earlier Age buildings.

I love these changes, coalition troops were irrelevant but now they have become more interesting, so good job!

Regarding on other changes I would like to see, the first one is the possibility to select all buildings and move them together on the editing map. That would save a lot of time in order to relocate your buildings when testing plane flights on your base.

On the other hand, I think there are more troops that I hardly ever see who need some rebalance, such as:
- Some mercenaries (heavy and ranged infantry): they are too weak compared with regular troops.
- MRL: I think it needs more range (7 like artillery)
- Tactical helicopter: I don't know, maybe more HP? one time paratrooper spawn...?

Finally, a small nation rebalance would be so nice. Maybe an addition of one or two perks per nation or a second unique unit from factory... or even new nations.

It would be great to have a 'next' button for walls, that took me to the lowest level wall and cycled through the walls in order of upgrade status.

It really looks odd to see such number 456/320
 
It would be cool to be able to predefine troop formations and leave them saved. This would make it easier in war attacks. For example, there is an enemy base that is its weak point and air defense. With this troop pre-definition, I could pre-define an air attack formation. Instead of me needing to delete all my troops that I use on a daily basis, these troops would be stored, either in the game's chest, or creating a predefined troop camp so that those troops that are in that camp cannot be used. In an attack, unless you click to add troops, the ones that are in your normal camp would go to this troop preset camp and vice versa. I believe that a slot of 3 troop presets would be sufficient.

And reduce the update time to a maximum of 10 days, for updating releases. the oldest ones can be 5 or 4 days (a week) is ideal. The game has many eras and after a certain era it starts to get tiring having to wait so long, not to mention that the game starts to get stuck, and dominations are a very complex game with a lot of types of updates. Waiting more than 10 days or a week to update defense buildings and resources ruins the dynamics of the game.

I think we should be able to look at alliance members museum equipment and artifacts. With no ability to link these in chat, it would be very helpful if we could give advice to new players on how to build out their museum. It would make the new player experience better too. I had no idea what to do with the museum for awhile after i started.

Another suggestion to make the new player experience better especially for wars; scale donated troops to no more than one age higher than the base receiving troops. Having a couple spearhead helos spawn from the town center on an Industrial Age base making it impossible to defeat by the same level player will turn new people away from the game. It should be balanced.

Lastly; there should be an alliance ability to unlock that allows for a donated troop bank for wars. You cant get your own troops, but can select from donated troops in the bank. As it is now you have to wait and wait… and wait to get some decent alliance troops for wars.
 
Acho que deveríamos ser capazes de examinar os equipamentos e artefatos dos museus dos membros da aliança. Deve ser equilibrado.

Por último; deve haver uma capacidade de desbloqueio de aliança que permita um banco de tropas doadas para guerras. Você não pode obter suas próprias tropas, mas pode selecionar tropas doadas no banco. Do jeito que está agora, você tem que esperar e esperar... e esperar para conseguir algumas tropas de aliança decentes para as guerras.

Auto-Spying

As part of our quality-of-life improvements to the game we’re taking a look at a small but extremely helpful part of World Wars, Spying. Before this update, players with spying (unlocked through the Harriet Tubman research path in the University) would have to tap the Spy button on the opposing army’s base sharing the same number as you. Doing so would reveal information about that base to help you or your allies pick the best strategy to counter their defenses. But if you forgot to press that button, there would be no information available to your Allies.

That all changes with Update 12.5, and some of you may already have noticed the feature was live ahead of the Update release! So long as you have Spying unlocked the opposing base sharing your number will have their information revealed at the start of the planning phase.

We’ve certainly heard your feedback, and don’t worry, this is NOT the last time we’ll be updating Spying. We’re currently planning some larger changes to Spying, such as finally implementing Council and Manufactory information to your Spy Reports. While that’s still further out from being ready, we’d still love to hear your feedback on other changes you’d like to see!

Additional Updates

  • Added a ‘next’ button for Defensive Buildings.
    • This will function similarly to the Traps and Caravans’ ‘next’ button. This will help quickly find those lower-level buildings as you rise through the Ages and your bases become more complex! Personally, we didn’t like having to tap each building every single time and have to search for a specific one.
    • Are there any other quick buttons like this you think we should implement? We’re open to your feedback on other ways that we can streamline your play experience!
  • Updated visual building quality for Automation and Drone Age Buildings
    • Updated these buildings with higher definition visual quality to better align with earlier Age buildings.
Can we name our museum builds? I think the layout from the last update or the one before, for builds was cool touch, also, instead of spending crowns on random effects, we should have the option to customize that single effect to our liking, it often will give repetitive effects when you roll a new one, so that becomes a little frustrating, I think a next button that takes you from council to museum to malfactory, once accessed one of the shops, you press next to get into the next one, I think alliance members also should be able to trade with each other or be capable of donating more to a player, from speeds up, to loot and crowns and store goods, or even blessings, I personally get an overflow of stuff in my mailbox and I waste a lot of attacks due to being maxed on loot, this would help lower levels climb faster, and higher levels upgrade when they are having a rough go, a donation of anything through alliance gate, you won't need to request it like troops unless you choose to request it which should also be an option, we should also get stag blessings :p so we can produce crowns! 5 crowns an hour and have the blessing last 5 hours or something, so that's 20 crowns every 5 hours, if you equip the blessing, that is not a mandatory one, but would br cool and neat to have and of course beneficial.

Any chance of getting anything to increase alliance xp earned, like a parliament law? Climbing the perks ladder is really slow :(
Thanks a lot for that new next button though, been wanting it a while :D
Now we just need a "claim all" option in inventory for chests/recruitment :)

Please add a harvest all button for the fruit trees and gold mines.
 
QOL suggestions:

1) Allow more than 5 museum loadouts,
2) Allow players to name individual loadouts,
3) Fix museum bugs—I still get an error for switching museum loadouts before multiplayer raids. Every time I have to select the loadout, log out, then log back in to raid.
4) Improve museum UI to allow for a better inventory management, and
5) a council loadout system would be nice.
 
Could we get a search function for troop tactics, please? It'd be very nice to be able to type in a search bar the key word(s) of the tactic i need; for example: if i typed Heavy tank, then all troop tactics that have heavy tanks should be the ones visible. Or simply add new thumbnails/tabs whatever you wanna call them that separate the TTs in that way: Heavy tanks TTs -- Helicopters TTs -- Airplanes TTs and so on.

I tried to update on the App Store but it is not shown. Is it released in IOS yet?
