DomiNations Update 12.15 - Quests

For Update 12.15, we’re shaking up your daily routine in DomiNations with Quests! This system will replace the Daily Goals with new Daily Quests, Age-related Quests, and a whole new suite of rewards to collect! Here's what you can look forward to before the 12.15 release scheduled for 2/26.

Daily Quests
With the new Quest system, you’ll have 10 Daily Quests to complete related to your current Age. Complete 9 Daily Quests, and you’ll earn a Chest with unique age-based rewards! Daily Quest rewards will be automatically claimed when you complete the quest, no additional tapping is required here!

For the Daily Quest Chest, you’ll see a notification around the Quest button that alerts you a chest can be claimed. You’ll go into the Quest Window to claim this Chest within the Daily Quest tab.

What if you Upgrade to the next Age before completing all Daily Quests?

• If you happen to Upgrade your Town Hall before completing all your Daily Quests, you’ll automatically complete them and be sent the Chest rewards! You will also be given brand new Daily Quests, tailored to your new Age.

What if I’ve already hit my resource cap? What happens to the rewards a Daily Quest offers?

• If you’re already at maximum resources, or the reward would push you over your limit, the Quest will not be automatically claimed. You will need to go into the Quest Window and tap the claim button for that reward once you make room for the resources, or collect for the space you have available. But be sure to claim these rewards before your Daily Quests reset the following day!

How will I know if I completed a Daily Quest?

• When you complete a Quest, you’ll see a banner pop out from the Quest button on the top left of the screen (underneath your resources). You can also open the menu to see the progress you have made!

What type of Quests will I be doing?

• The Daily Quests will vary, but they focus on things you’re already doing in DomiNations and are scaled to your Age. Some examples are:
  • Collect Resources
  • Defeat Defenders
  • Have Troops Survive
  • Contribute to a Parliament Law
  • Acquire a Councilor
  • Craft or Level Up an Artifact

Age Quests
Age Quests will have you explore the various avenues of progression available to you in each Age. Master new skills, explore new Units, or discover something for you to focus on upgrading. These Quests will include Story Quests and Side Quests. Each age will feature a Councilor with dialog giving you tips on what to focus on next and their insight. Both will offer rewards as you progress through the Ages!

You’ll have only one Story Quest at a time, a new Story Quest will become available as you complete them all while rising through the Ages. After you complete a Story Quest, if you have completed the requirements of the next Story Quest you can claim its reward immediately! Side Quests work a bit differently, as you can progress through and claim the rewards from multiple Side Quests at once.

Once completed, you’ll need to claim these Quests and their rewards in the Age Quest menu to proceed to the next stage.

What kind of Quests will I be doing?

• Age Quests will focus exclusively on developing your base in various ways. Think of it as an ongoing guide as you progress through the game. Some examples include:
  • Upgrade a General to Level Y
  • Fully Research a Library Technology
  • Upgrade X Farms to Level Y
  • Build a specific Building
  • Upgrade a Specific Building
  • Upgrade X Troop to Level Y

I’ve already made it to Automation Age and have maxed out my research and upgrades. What does that mean for me?

• You’ll be able to retroactively claim your rewards based on your current progression with the Questline! So if you’ve already completed the entirety of the Age Questline at launch, you’ll simply log in and claim free rewards!

Achievements
Achievements remain unchanged in this update, but you will find them in a tab within the Quests Menu featuring a new look!

We are tracking an issue where a Daily Quest reward is sometimes not automatically claimed when you have room for those resources. When this occurs, you can still manually claim the reward. Be sure to double-check that all rewards are claimed before the daily reset at 11am ET. I hope the rewards don't change like they did with councils (rewards are completely bad and weak). At least don't change the various rewards to council cards, please.

Scheduled for 3/26?!?!? It’s 5 weeks away?

X said it was 26th Feb but the forums say its 26th March. if they posted this now I'm likely to believe the February date cause why post this if it is 5 weeks away? they post these when it is close.

Jaysus…priorities, priorities…

 

Yet another piece of crap instead of fixing issues and bugs.

 

I wonder how many person hours have been invested in this needless crap update. Then I think how better those person hours could have been invested FIXING REPLAYS and other bugs!! I recall there being talk of getting replays fixed LAST Spring. My enthusiasm level for continuing this game any further is rapidly waning. I believe BHG/LTG grossly underestimate negative player sentiment.

@Harlems369th I agree that BHGs time can be better spent on fixing major problems with the game vs. adding features no one wants .
for example
fix uni bug
fix load out bug
fix replays
allow teammates to be able to see each others museums
improve Crafting odds for desirable lines
AND most of all PLEASE REBALANCE THE GAME , DEFENSE HAS BECOME SO OP as to be unplayable any more for good strikers on 3D bases. I have essentially given up playing my main account which has maxed offensive museums/councils because it is pointless trying to hit hard 3d bases anymore . Many of our long time players have just quit the game because of this….its made player morale quite low for the rest of the team. I know many others who will likely quit soon too of this isn’t fixed.

You are somewhat underestimating the extent of BHG/LTG careless attitude towards players - this has been going on for YEARS!... Someone is moving in the game, watching ads - that's it, that's enough for them!
But what is really incomprehensible is that they waste time on some nonsense, and do nothing at all at the real requests of the players. This is simply the height of indifference to their players!

P.S. You should also take into account the fact that not all players from the game are present on the forum, but only a small part, therefore, apparently, BHG/LTG think that for the rest (the vast majority) the game is good in everything, they have no complaints.

 

idk whats all this about but you could at least do some bug fixes. or reduce museum itemcap to50 percent or atleast add some new nations.like spanish, persian, turk, viking/nords etc.

 

No sé de qué se trata todo esto, pero al menos podrían corregir algunos errores o reducir el límite de objetos del museo al 50 por ciento o al menos agregar algunas naciones nuevas, como españoles, persas, turcos, vikingos/nórdicos, etc.

Seria muy interesante eso ultimo de añadir mas naciones. Muy buena observación.

 

It says rewards include resources? My resources are generally always full, so when do these ever get claimed? Generally I don't need them, won't be able to claim them daily. Plus all the ones for previous age missions when update drops too? Another day of none rewards, cos that's gonna be a lot in one day.

 

WHY this update on THIS topic that nobody asked for? It aint a Qualit Of Life thing for sure.

They could help offense at the same time they fix a bug: FIX THE BROKEN HELI RANGE.
A troop with range 6 should not be shooting at range 3.
