• Ending Support for AOS6
As highlighted in our 12.10 Update notes, we will be ending support for AOS6 with the release of the 12.11 Update due to technical requirements. Those on AOS6 will need to upgrade to a device that supports AOS7 or above to continue playing DomiNations.

TinSoldier I challenge, dare and beg you to respond to this topic about stackers....

Sure, we can look at these issues!

The core of it is that Manifesto is correct. Changing the rules of war to prevent some Ages from being brought to war would wind up punishing those Alliances that want to train up new players or play with friends that have started at different times.

A number of game issues have been lumped together, so let's look at how each instance is viewed differently.

Hunting too many Stags - Security Concern
This is an older issue where our automatic system was banning players for claiming a number of crowns too quickly. The recent observations of this issue were coincidental - after investigation it was a different reason for the ban.
Issues you can take: Contact an admin or Customer Service, we should be able to investigate and restore you if the ban is accidental.

Opening too many Victory Chests in a row - Cheating
At most, you can open 2 Victory Chests in a given day - one started from yesterday, and one from today. You still need to earn Stars in between opening these two chests. From what I've seen, the players impacted by this issues are playing with an emulator.
Issues you can take: While I personally think this game could be a fun experience on PC, this is a case where we don't actually support DomiNations anywhere but on a mobile device. If you've earned a Victory Chest, why not hop on a device to claim it?

Exploiting free food from the University - Exploit (Cheat)
As an exploit, it's going beyond the way DomiNations presents resource gathering.
Issues you can take: Go on a raid for resources, or upgrade your Farms, Roads, and Caravans!

The team has made changes to matchmaking in the past, and (I am speculating) that more matchmaking changes will happen in the future. I have also seen the suggestion to allow Alliances to better see the way that matchmaking is.

We are always able to investigate cheaters as well.

Hope that helps with understanding how we view different game issues!

Without starting a new topic I will just add to this. Just posting up another no chance win war we are in now. Really getting tired of this.
All of the "THEM" can roll any one of our base while we might be able to scrape up a couple of stars on their upper bases.
Loads of fun. NOT! Or maybe we are just doing something wrong. If you can tell please show us the way.

Listing the ages alone doesn't mean much. You both have a ton of bags stacked at the bottom, so this matchup doesn't surprise me. Also, we've had plenty of wars that looked terrible on paper but the results ended up in our favor because their attack strength didn't match their lofty levels/ages.

TinSoldier firstly thanks for responding. I appreciate your time in responding to the examples I gave of game manipulation. The one issue I take with your post is your response to the issue of sandbagging, which was the crux of my original post. I totally get that some alliances want to bring their friends or children in even though they have just started playing, but seriously, look at most of the top ranked alliances - most players are level 200+ who pay to permanently have bazooka towers and crown their silos to level 3 immediately. You cannot seriously tell me that you think the 4 to 5 Iron Age bases they all have (most of which havent logged in for days or weeks) are there to play with their friends. We have a number of medieval players in our alliance (some are relatives of our senior players) and we tell them they must be at least max Gunpowder offensively to war otherwise it isn’t fair on anyone, most of all them.

Nexon has successfully managed to create code for the missile silo that can calculate cumulative hitpoints on the fly - surely it cant be that hard to measure war base values to determine if an alliance is deliberately using several very low level war bases to manipulate the system. To be honest I see no difference in sandbaggers exploiting the matachmaking system to the people who exploited the free food from the University. They are both exploiting something in the game for their benefit.....

Agree. Your question was evaded.

Either because Nexon and Tinsoldier don't realize the issue and HOW BIG of an issue it is for so many alliances...

OR, because sandbagging is a way for the heaviest (biggest spenders) of alliances to get a match, which would mean that Nexon would have to tell it's biggest spenders that 'sorry, there isn't an alliance as heavy as you to war... or you have to wait 2 days until one is free, and you will be playing the same alliances over and over....'

I am guessing it is a combination of the two. Which is why introducing handicaps might be the best choice, so alliances that are mismatched can have a fair war with each other.

Although, TBH, I have been meandering, and I think the game is in trouble (I think Nexon waited TOO LONG to address this issue among others). There are mergers all over the place. No new alliances of any significance. Others that have disappeared... Pretty soon, it will be the same 10 alliances warring each other. I hope I am wrong about this...

I disagree that players getting more than normal chests on an emulator are cheating. At most it's an exploit. (no, I don't play on an emulator)
If Nexon hasn't tested the game on an emulator and a player finds an exploit, assuming they're not re-writing the game's code, is it their fault they've found something you never expected?
eg: It's like designing your base but you don't think someone will attack from the Alliance Gate, if they attack from the Alliance Gate, too bad.

ps: if they are re-writing the game's code then forget what I said. :)

ive seen plenty of level 150 atomics before so as Beerman said, listing ages doesnt mean much. a 150 atomic can be crushed by a 170 industrial mainly because the atomic player pretty much has nothing that is atomic, and sometimes nothing global, other than towncenter.

Why don't you create alliance leagues? That way alliances that dominate(sandbag) will eventually be only eligible for warring against other dominating(sandbag) alliances, Sure this will increase the search time but if people get that pissed...

Well it was an easy 150 stars for them. Their top ten were able to roll our top 20 which left easy pickings for the mid half to clean up. We were able to scratch of few of them and get our 60%. But really, we face this type of war all the time now. Before the update, we were the ones on the other side of the table where we won 9 out of 10 wars. Now were losing 9 out of 10. I know that just showing the ages doesn't totally show the whole picture but for **** sakes com'on, they were real strong bases. Not sure how you get sandbags out of our group. I have our alliance opened up and get a lot of newbies. Every now and then you find a good peep but most of them just get the boot if no attack. Rinse and repeat.
