Returning troop performance

Wvolf I noticed one of the new features is improving return troop performance. I'm very excited about this can you give us a bit more info? Like what effect will it have on troops?

Hi, I noticed that no one replied to this thread (not surprised) so i just wanted to bring it up again.

In the recent update there was one point i was particularly interested in.

" Improved performance of troops that return to base"

The reason is my strategy involves keeping most of my troop so i can battle over and over again.
I thought it would be a good idea to give returning troops some sort of veteran status kinda like C&C and Civ,
so i was really happy when this update came out.
However i haven't noticed any difference in troop performance so spill the beans Wvolf.

Still no response from the mods. Clearly this is another feature they have no idea about

Well if they follow CIV rules they will level up in some way or gain Xp that you can spend, but that would make me more reluctant to go on resource runs that are obvious no win matches but the rewards are high. As valuable units with Xp would make me reluctant to go all in and risk losing them. Which may reduce the fun in some respects.
