Ending Support for AOS6
As highlighted in our 12.10 Update notes, we will be ending support for AOS6 with the release of the 12.11 Update due to technical requirements. Those on AOS6 will need to upgrade to a device that supports AOS7 or above to continue playing DomiNations.
DomiNations Update 12.10 has begun rolling out and is focused on improving your experience through the ages with our Progression Initiative! You’ll find reduced training times to get back into the battle sooner, additional Houses, increased resource generation rates, and more! We’re also adding a new University Level for those in the Automation Age with a new University Leader, Ransom Olds. Finally, another Councilor is on the way to add to your Council collection.
Ending Support for AOS6 in Update 12.11
Our next update, 12.11, will be ending support for AOS6 and below due to technical requirements. Players will need to upgrade to a device that supports AOS7 and above to continue playing DomiNations.
Progression Initiative
First, a deep dive into the changes coming to Update 12.10: We’re making a massive overhaul to how you interact with the game. The driving force behind these changes is removing barriers preventing you from leveling up at your own pace through the Ages. DomiNations has been out for nearly 10 years, and in that time, there have been so many cool features added to the game that we want even more of you to experience sooner. This update is an effort to alleviate some bottlenecks and get you back into the battle faster!
New Houses
We’re adding one additional House to Stone, Iron, Medieval, and Enlightenment Age. Each House will only cost 50 Gold to build, and even if you’re beyond these Ages, these four additional houses will still cost you 50 Gold each, even for those of you who have reached the Automation Age! This adds 8 additional Citizens total giving you more opportunities to upgrade Buildings and research at the University more often. We aren’t stopping there however, going forward Houses will now only cost 50 Gold across the board! This should give you all ample opportunity to explore what each new Age has to offer and upgrade with a bit more freedom.
Resource Building Changes
If we give you more citizens, you’ll need the resources to use them, right? In Season 8: Readied Reinforcements, we increased Storage Capacity, but we wanted to take it a step further. Update 12.10 not only increases Storage Capacity but also the generation rate of resources. In particular, Oil Storage has doubled for many Ages, and Oil Generation has increased across all Ages!

Additional Updates
Replay Improvement Work
We’ve been working toward finding solutions to the Replay issues players have been facing for quite some time, we want to express that this pain point hasn’t gone unheard.
We’ve upgraded our internal Replay testing suite in an effort to improve replay quality. Several bugs have already been identified, and solutions will be headed out for testing soon, with continued fixes throughout the year. At this point, we are very confident with the progress that we’ve made so far, but our work isn’t quite finished. Our goal is to have replays as consistent as possible by the launch of Tournament of Glory. We thank you for your continued patience toward this massive undertaking.
Backend Security Improvements
We’ve made additional strides in improving our backend security in our ongoing pursuit of tackling attempts at cheating and malicious play within DomiNations.
Another great D councilor? Like D needs more defensive tower boosts? it’s a joke at this point really. Disappointing.
reduced training times and more citizens are nice for lower level people. Of course the high level O folks are again ignored.
And more building D boosts in new uni leader . The troop boosts help both sides. So again, big tilt to D. Well, in a month my D munitions will be done and I will be D. Done with fighting this OP D train that BHG clearly wants.

The next Councilor to join DomiNations is the first woman to win a Nobel Prize AND the first to win the Nobel Prize twice! Marie Curie, a Physicist and Chemist, was one of the Scientists responsible for developing the theory of “radioactivity.” Her Council bonuses improve the damage dealt by your defenses in War, while her Main Hall bonuses improve your aerial superiority.

I definitely like the addition of the houses, don’t get me wrong, but I’m worried it’s also going to make armory and library research a lot harder in turn. When I started my second account a couple months ago, the large building time reductions made it way more difficult to get enough research done without either camping ages or spending lots of crowns. With the extra citizens speeding up the pace of the game even more I wouldn’t be surprised if the issue gets worse, hopefully someone gets done to fix this eventually.
Nice additions. Anyone else have a problem with looking at Alliances with absolutely no active players? What I mean by inactive is that the entire Alliance player list hasn’t signed in for sometimes YEARS! Why cannot these be deleted by the Devs?

You should prioritize research in the forge; troops that you do not want to use do not need to be researched.
In addition to the buildings, the workers must also research in the university. This is just a great update with 8 extra workers you can do so much more at the same time.
The tactics come from 20-40min and have been reduced to 5min; that's already very fast. For MP battles, you shouldn't need all tactics in every battle. If you do, there is the retrain blessing or you can ask your alliance for tips.

Why should alliances be deleted? There is a lot of work and sometimes money involved. Who knows if the leader will return after 2 years? It would be very frustrating if the alliance was then deleted.
This is a really amazing update! +8 citizens - very great! It's the Holiday!
Finally, can develop faster!
A very significant reduction in troop recovery time - excellent! More battles - more resources!
Thank you very much!
You even unexpectedly changed my plans a little... for the better! Now I'm thinking about how to better busy with work these new citizens with more benefit. In fact, it's a feeling of relief that restrictions have been removed and the boundaries of possibilities have been expanded.

Everyone has their own joy, and you, again, about your sorrows, if only the waits were preserved somewhere. A fan of slowing down processes and progress. Why are you so stubbornly clinging to the past, when everything was slow? You probably still access the Internet using a 56K modem by telephone line?
You are constantly against any improvements that allow players to develop faster. If you yourself are not able to "move faster", then this is not a reason to limit others.
Please pay attention to the phrase in the announcement: "The driving force behind these changes is removing barriers preventing you from leveling up at your own pace through the Ages.". - exactly "leveling up at your own pace", but not at the pace of "slow moving" ("brakes").
This also applies to battles - if I have time and opportunity to fight, then I want to fight, and not wait for a long time waiting for the restoration of troops or tactics.
BHG and LTG are finally taking steps towards active players - well done, keep it up!
In proportion to the reduction in the recovery time of troops, it would be very reasonable and quite logical to reduce the recovery time of tactics.
For several seconds of recovery of infantry, for example, 5 minutes for tactics already seem very long.
Firstly, thank you for the extra citizens - this is very welcome.
HOWEVER, on the issue of troop training times:
Reducing training times to near zero is not a positive change. Oh yes, we're all happy that we don't have to wait for our armies and air forces to retrain, but the reduction has unwanted effects:
- Instant retrain blessings (carefully hoarded or paid for) are now near worthless;
- Training blessings and air training blessings are now entirely worthless;
- As an extension to this and the increased resources available, gathering/weapon/armor/loot/oil/storage/air superiority blessings are also now fairly pointless;
- Successful base defence is trivialised. It used to mean something when you'd wipe out 100% of an attacking force because they'd feel the pain of waiting to retrain;
- Tactical considerations of attackers to preserve their high-train time troops (ranged siege/fighters/bombers) will be completely sidelined since we know these can be replaced instantly. This removes a lot of the skill element from offensive battles, and is a move towards a WW1 mentality of blob attacks of disposable troops with no consideration for their survivability;
- No concern for troop survivability significantly lowers the value of offensive munitions and museum artifacts - both normal and legendary;
- Event goals of "train/deploy x many troops of y type" can now be fulfilled in mere seconds.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think troop training times should be reverted for the sake of balance and preserving a little element of skill.
