Banning policy

Hello everyone,
a quick question about “crown manipulation“. What is that supposed to mean? Reason I’m asking, a friend of mine has been banned for that. No warning, no suspension, straight ban and no explanation. He was an Info player, recently got 800 crowns as compensation and used them for speeding up some construction. I’m sure he was a fair player, and I do appreciate he might have fallen into some automated banning algorithm - that, overall, I would strongly support as a general policy for catching cheaters who are ruining this game, as much as there may be some sort of backlash.

Bottom line, I’m worried about my own crowns. I’ve got way more than he had at the time of the ban, almost 15k vs. 3k, I’m a much low player, GA, never used crowns but for changing museum artifacts, and I’m now scared of using them! Does anyone know what that “crown manipulation“ is, how it is triggered? I have friends who spent thousands of crowns for speeding up construction upon changing age and nothing happened to them - and I would have been surprised if something had happened, they were totally legit. But again, so was my friend who got banned, so I’m a little concerned.

My member used 20k crowns and never got banned. But their policy is not clear. There is no transparency. I would use those crowns but maybe not all in once.

I think if you have a history of buying crowns for money they don’t flag as an exploit. It is when you have never purchased crowns and then spend thousands of them that you are at risk.

I know you can build up a large trove of crowns for free with enough time, but I think they flag stuff when there is no clear history of how you got them.

My clan member did not buy crowns, but he didn't use them for 1-2 years. Anyway, better not use them all at once...
