graphically, walls only connect to the open end of bastions
functionally, walls connect to every part of bastions
so if you place walls next to the closed end of a bastion you will see a gap but troops will not be able to pass through.
this is either a bug in graphics or a bug in function, and the question of which it is was raised in gen disc forum but was not answered. please answer.
(and also, troops seem to love to try to destroy bastions and step on -82% movement rubble even when there are better paths available, i.e. ignoring nearer and weaker wall sections, or a path around the bastion. are the stupid units dividing the bastion hp by 8 tiles and thinking of it as very weak walls?)
