Starter Pack extra house question

Does the starter pack grant an extra house than what i would have been able to buy, or does it just buy the first house for you? In other words is it actually an EXTRA house or a boost to the first house? Im in iron age currently

It's an extra house. As in you get 1 more than free players.

I got it and it gave me 2 more dudes but I dont see an extra house at all anywhere and i cant buy 1

The house is randomly placed on your map but I'm not sure what happens if you don't have enough land/space.
