A few alliance members started playing with the Spies that are offered today. Hope they become a normal troop, or comandoes are changed to work that way. They are pretty useful. They work like a commando, but also identify and disarm traps.

Nice job creating an interesting new troop. Just make it available without spending money please.

That would be a good update to the commando, actually just straight up replace them with spies instead. I have never used a commando and probably never will.

But then if they did that, how would they make their money.......

They could simply make it part of the upgrade path for commandos, rather than replacing them outright.

i really hate how they decided it to test it through premium offers, these troop offers are getting worse day by day, everytime i open the game i find tons of offers in my face, and am pretty sure there r teams out there who can spend tons of cash on overpowered troops and acquire as many as they can while they r on offer

i don't think they r gonna add it to the game, if they r too good they will make it exclusive for real cash just as elephant archers and we will see tons of offers of that spy in the future

I'm not so sure personally. That would be a fundamental alteration of the unit's function which they've never done before, I imagine that the few who use them currently might be a little put out losing that function.
Would be a cool unit in addition for cold war though, especially with the whole USA vs Russia spy history.

I agree, it would make sense.
Just like a commando evolved to a SEAL, a soldier with brains as well as brawn.

I didn’t purchase the spies (because it will be available soon via an event; imo) but the stats and description says it’s an awesome troop. It does something that no other unit can do in the game and has a huge hp which can engage defending troops while other units are destroying the enemy town.
I agree that it must be a new troop from cold war age but Commando like ninja/shinobi is doing another job. I need both of these troops, I have veteran commando and it is really worth the 8 unit space for me.
