Greetings Leaders,

Welcome to the first DomiNations Season! The World War Season consists of four special Season Events, with the first event beginning on May 10th and ending on July 5th. Each Season Event will feature its own theme and combat configurations that can change how you approach a battle. We’re going to be mixing it up for each event, so make sure to keep an eye out to see what each Season Event brings.

In addition to these changes, make sure you log in during the Season to collect your daily World War Season Supply Drop, which will have different chest rewards inside depending on the theme. For the total duration of the Season, earn bonus Alliance XP and bonus Rubies from participating in World Wars! Food, Gold, and Oil Law Contribution costs are also reduced during the Season!

Armored Ambush Event
Date: 5/10/21 - 5/24/21
Our first Season Event is the Armored Ambush Event, which is focused on armored vehicles and their role on the battlefield. Here is a list of the boosts and discounts that will take place during the Armored Ambush Event!

Armored Ambush Event Changes (these changes will run from 5/10 - 5/24)
The following troops, tactics, and buildings will be boosted for the duration of the event:
• +100% Heavy Cavalry Hitpoints and Damage
• +100% Assault Vehicle Hitpoints and Damage
• +100% MRL Hitpoints and Damage
• +50% Humvee Hitpoints and Damage
• +50% Char 2C Hitpoints and Damage
• +50% T28 Super Heavy Tank Hitpoints and Damage
• +50% KV-2 Super Heavy Tank Hitpoints and Damage
• +50% TOS-1 Tank Hitpoints and Damage
• +50% Yumi Samurai Hitpoints and Damage
• +50% Catapult Hitpoints and Damage
• +50% Super Heavy Tank Factory Hitpoints
• +50% Samurai Stable Hitpoints
• +50% First Aid War Tactic Duration​

Upgrades to the following troops and tactics will be discounted for the duration of the event:
• -15% Heavy Cavalry Upgrade Cost and Upgrade Time
• -15% Assault Vehicle Upgrade Cost and Upgrade Time
• -15% MRL Upgrade Cost and Upgrade Time
• -15% First Aid War Tactic Upgrade Cost and Upgrade Time​

50% off Research for the following University Leaders:
• Sultan Saladin
• Sun Tzu​

I agree that in next season event would be nice instead of offence would be defence bonuses. Just to make diferent

Why are you complaining about defenses - they boosted mortars :)
And this game is all about attacks and not defense.
You use attackers when you play but defenses every few days?
Offense is active playing and defense is very, very passive in this game.

MartinK12 a good game has balance with a favoring towards offense. This is not that game. They don’t care about balance. I routinely have to attack with defense museum and 2-3D. I generally do pretty well and I’m not a good attacker. Now I’m saying screw defense and ditching the defense museum. I’m calling for defenders to boycott defending until bhg fixes the balance. Show everyone how important balance is. No defenders makes the game very boring. That isn’t healthy. And it takes a lot longer to build up defenses than it does to build up offense. But bhg has proven through their actions that they don’t care.

Wish the university 50% discount was for time instead of resources. Getting resources in the game has always been easy, but having enough workers and time to catch up to long time players is what’s the most frustrating part of the game has always been.

Dracula3811, a good game is which entertain players. During offence, players actively participate in action and hence gets entertained.

If everyone ditch defence, then that's good, let's destroy bases as quickly as possible :). There will always be a competition.

Anyone who thinks defence is either not important or balanced are kidding themselves. Some players say the only important aspect is attack, what is the point of attacking a nothing base. Attack is nothing without good defenders base to go against and ATM there is no such base. I've been playing this game since Dec 2014 and I've seen the good and bad of this game. I still like playing the game and my base isn't bad at defending however there is a serious imbalance towards offense. The imbalance isn't as bad as the AR time however there is still a serious imbalance that needs to be addressed.

Totally agree. This game is called Dominations not ''DEFENDERnations''. It's logical that a game of this type, based on attacking opponents and gaining resources, favours attacking over defending. If people want strong bases so be it but attacking HAS to outweigh defending. You can reduce your losses by good base design or museum attributes but expecting a 'balance' is illogical.
The funny thing is I suspect the ones complaining the most are the top players who expect to beat everyone else but have a base that no-one else can beat. Can't have it both ways guys. :D

Talk about looking at something 1 dimensionally, the name Domination can be either from an attacking or defending aspect. I believe there should be a balance, I stopped playing my baby accounts due to RL constraints however it wouldn't take much for later ages to have either certain troops tweaked at later ages or restrict their uses to enable a more balanced approach to the game. Currently, I think the different troops themselves are well balanced. There are different attacking styles utilising different troop combinations. The aspect that can't be defended, no matter what your base looks like or how well it's developed is an attacker using 4-5 Eisenhowers, Ares war proved that.

Speaking of 1 dimension, if you read my reply correctly you'll see I never said you shouldn't defend your base but defence can't be stronger than attack. If it were the game would go backwards. If it was 'balanced' as you want it the game wouldn't go anywhere. The game MUST be weighted towards attacking - anything else goes against the fundamentals of a game like this.
Feel free to fight your fight but it's an attacking game, end of story. I'm guessing you're one of those people that hoard everything behind walls and air defenses and anti tank guns and begrudge anyone from getting anything. Are you an only child? :D
Granted 4-5 Eisenhowers annihilating everything in sight is OP but that's what the game has come to. The game is hard enough for attackers - hence Eisenhowers - it doesn't need anything to make things harder. So people steal your rss, so what? Go out and attack some more - that's what the game is all about, after all.

After playing 2 war season events I must say I like war season idea bcs it brings some fresh air
but imho devs should go much bigger with changes.
For example:
1. bonus dmg and hp +200%

2. changing troop parameters, ie:
-moving faster - ie. main battle tanks moving 2x faster
-increased troops range - ie. ranged infantry range to 6
-reduce required troop space for some troops - ie. main battle tank to 5 troop space, artillery to 5 troops space - this would be awesome to use more troops of certain type than usual ;)

3. changing troop behaviors - ie.:
-APC spawning medic every few infantry
-ranged infantry shooting fire arrows
-mortar shooting 2 projectiles

4. increased research point for laws so all alliances can pick up with laws, reduced contribution cost is good but not enough :(


This would make players to want to try and use those new things for fun or figuring out new combos :)
