New uni leader Ransom E. olds - not as advertised and NOT +10 production slots

Is it just me or have I been robbed. This new uni leader. Upon completion it says you get +10 production slots.

You don’t. I used a lot of research speed ups and…… nothing.
I complained, asked where my extra slots have gone only to be told that it’s “+10 what you produce whilst offline”

What a load of pointless crap. Had I known I would not have used 1 speed up…

Are we mislead or did I read it wrong ?

it is "+10 Production slot capacity"
not "+10 Production slots"
--> you read it wrong

Yeah, basically each production slot can produce 100 of each material before you need to collect it. Otherwise it will stop making more.

So you really don't want to go to sleep producing carbon in all 6 slots.

Finishing Olds basically raises that to 110 which means that production will go on for slightly longer before it stops and waits for you to collect your materials.

I misread it as well and think it’s confusing. Who cares about an extra 10 capacity. What a waste of speed ups.

I agree that the end bonus for completing Olds could have been more enticing.

Yes 10 extra capacity is not a lot for the final research. Something like 50 would have been more suitable.

Yep looks like both Ransom Olds and Tesla is discounted for the Historical Harvest. The discount will remain for the duration of the event, our mistake, but for your benefit!

Yea I wasted a lot of 5 day speed ups too as our clan thought it meant another production slot which would have been worth using the speed ups for but not for 110 capacity. It needs to be reworded cuz not all players check here in the forums and read this post. lol

Simply reword it to +10 production slot capacity (100+10=110 capacity).

adding a bit more wording or in the example above adding some numbers would explain it to save confusion.

Another thing that’s not right is the discount you get on the amount you need to assemble. You still have to have the full amount to be able to craft it.

Yep, that happened after last update or update just before it. Something changed forcing us to wait longer to make more when we shouldn’t have to wait as we clearly have enough. I think it has something to do with the calculation in a few of the Olds upgrades.

Hopefully this will be fixed soon as it is by far the BIGGEST benefit of researching Olds in the University.

To be fair, production slot capacity isn't an extra slot but I can see how you might (wishfully) believe it was.
Anyway, it is what it is - maybe they'll refund you the crowns?
