Food for gold and/or oil makes sense both realistically and historically...

Yeah, so imaginative and so different from Industrial... Yup, enjoy you it guys who said I was mad for saying this was crazy and food for new walls was a must!!

If this confirms, I'll happily retire from the game, lol, and will come in a few decades to check, who of the ones calling me crazy for changing the game mechanics, is so happy then with only gold for walls... LOL

Actually I'm leaving the game, you enjoy it.

I was the stupid and crazy one, sure, food for walls? How crazy, how stupid.

And I foresee this coming: level 14 walls 7 million, level 15 8 millions.

Enjoy it. A game with two speeds : cheaters and payers vs normal free players, the difference will keep getting bigger and bigger within ages.

Good luck with it. I'm pretty sure some of the guys that told in this thread that I was mad for pointing the game issues, will some day end bringing me the reason, or at least, saying game devs are mad... But I won't be here to see it. gl.

While these are harsh sentiments, they are truth. This is the era we live in. Thousands of online games are available to us. Every game i have ever played though has been about the community and the alliances i have been a part of. No game is perfect but if you find friends to share your time with then the game isn't so bad.

Reconsider your choice and engulf this message board with more of your passion.

I agree with Hugh although not with the initial delivery. Online gaming is all about the community. Being able to talk with people from around the world is really cool. The game is only the venue. I have people in my alliance I've been gaming with (on different games) for nearly 3 years. When our old game got stale we moved over here and made even more friends. Even when the game doesn't live up to our expectations we work though it because working together as a team builds friendships and comradery and that makes us coming back for more every day.

Neither. They are walls and they are meant to be a difficult item to achieve. This is where stand out players, long time players will begin to shine. If everyone could achieve everything, the game would get old.

I actually disagree with this, not attacking anyone personally but i feel like gold for walls should stay. However i do believe we should be able to trade one resource for another, such as food for gold or for oil. I also believe there should be a research that could be done to decrease cost of walls and strength of walls, maybe through university or lib or something. I understand that there are cheater bases with max walls but cheaters should be dealt with separately. I also believe that market and mill storage should be higher too, maybe research in each age that will allow you to boost your market and mill storage more than just upgrading it.

Gold for walls is staying. There is merely a second option coming, which is food for walls. Also, there already is a research in uni for walls, "Wall & Gate Hitpoints" from Sultan Saladin.

lol, I just read the latest about the food/ gold for walls. I know about the university research thats under Sultan but i was thinking of a whole defensive category. like decrease wall upgrade 3% each level, increase hp 3%, maybe a special one that allows you do upgrade wall without using a worker. maybe one where you could add extra walls (1 each level). I still think trading resource or even trade goods would be a nice add-on. Others have suggested a trading post, i was thinking a train station.
