Thanks for starting this poll, GJ. I gotta admit, I wasn't sure about the museum at first. But it's quickly growing on me.
It's a clever feature that lets players decide how we want to specialise our base. Do we want to enhance oil raiding or toughen up our cavalry muscle? Most folks play slightly differently so each Museum choice will be individual.
Remember there are only two slots for legendary artefacts, Forgetthis. So the whales will only get some advantage. And they (and the hackers) have always had that.
For the rest of us, we get 2 weapons slots, 2 armor slots, 2 jewellery and 2 pottery slots. Even that can earn upto +80% for any one attack/defense/loot/protection factor. Realistically, it's hard to get two +11% stats through the random number generator, but it's definitely possible to get one +11% and one +1%... that's still +30 to +60% on that stat with the two artefacts that we're allowed.
Imagine playing with +60% hp raiders, +60% damage tanks, +60% oil looting. +60% on your favourite stat, whatever that might be, is game changing.
But it's gonna take time to get there, many weeks to several months. Checking in frequently to collect fragments. Cashing them in every couple of days for artefacts. Ruthlessly throwing out artefacts without some +11s and +6s. To stack up the blueprints. The dock has become much more important. So far as I can see, it's the only way to earn guaranteed museum supplies, benefactors & researchers. Again, all of those expeditions are gonna take time.
But in 6 months or so, there's gonna be a massive gap between serious players and casual gamers... That's a good thing if you can play seriously. But, yes, the casual guys are gonna get rolled over.
Biggest risk is transparency. If anybody ever figures out how to hack Museum artefacts, how to design your own bonus factors, maxed out at +100%, for example. Then we're all screwed. So it's going to become important for Nexon to show us what the enemy artefacts stats were in the replays. Nobody is going to notice that at first. But in 3 months time, when the fastest players have got their raiders onto +60%, fighters onto +60%, or tanks onto +60%, battles are gonna look a little strange. Players won't be happy not knowing why a battle went so weird. Unless they can see the enemy artefact stats. It's also a guard against cheating. But give it a few months, I expect Nexon will have added this to the replays. Like we can see enemy coalitions in world war replays...
Experiment around a bit guys. Give the Museum a chance. I reckon you'll like it if you do
