Thank you for posting another State of the Nations update. I know I’m a little late to the party, but I’ve just now had the opportunity to read it and write a response. Here are my thoughts.
First of all, being under the 220 threshold for CW I cannot really comment on the new stuff offered in the CW release other than I think the bouncy house trap is cool. Thanks for letting AA players add that to our bases. At least we got something from that update. Global got the worst part of that update now having 2 ages above hunting them.
I’m ok with the new leader being released in CW. I have enough classes to take as it is. I am kinda meh on the new building. I guess I will reserve opinion when I see it in action. Will it be a minor annoyance like the sniper tower? Or a major game changer like the missile silo. I guess we’ll find out.
I know some have a negative response to your proposed Boost Details report, but I find this very intriguing. If I am interpreting your explanation correctly, we will be able to discern exactly how the research/upgrades and added buffs from Coals/blessings affect our attack/defense. Then compare our strength to the relative strength of our opponent. Others view this as letting our opponent see what’s under our hood but the way I read it seems it’s more of an evaluation of our own game and clue us in whether we are lacking in upgrade, buffs or just suck at attacking. (i.e. you should have totally owned that base Loser! Or ... try something harder next time Bozo!) It doesn’t tell our opponent exactly what we have as much as where we are relative to them. Am I right? I hope so because if we are telling our opponent our actual strength from Uni/library I totally agree with what was said before it would take all of the mystery of the attack which is part of the fun of war.
More deforestation for a bigger map? I always assumed it was coming so I’m not put off by it. One suggestion though. Don’t make the upgrade time longer. It doesn’t make any sense why workers in the CW age would take longer to cut down an acre of forest than guys in the medieval times. Give them some chainsaws and a backhoe for Pete’s sake!
And finally, the museum sounds like fun. I’m looking forward to seeing what you have lined up for us!
Thanks again for the update. As always...Hugs and kisses, Gail
