Clearing forests

I am down to 1 forest and I have noticed that the animals walk around in the forests. They don’t seem to walk far if at all into the clearings. My question is, If I clear the last forest will animals still roam around? They are a good source of resources and I don’t want to lose that by clearing all the forests.

To the original poster: are you sure you want to deforest so much? If you are down to 1 then I think you have significantly outstripped most others in this department and there *might* not be a need to do it. Check if there are any other tasks you want your citizens to be busy with. Finally outside of attacking; this game is all about prioritizing things out of a million things to do. My 2 cents.

The animals keep showing up. I’m done with the forest removal for the second time. Good for you. It a killer on your advancement as you get 0 experience for it.
