I thought it would be a good idea to clear out all forrests, but that has resulted in animals spawning all around the outskirts of my base. It now takes time just to locate the animals, but also takes even longer to get the hunting citizen to where the animal is at.
It would be very nice if animals, even without any forrest, were to origin from one place and, if possible, atleast stay somewhere in the vicinity.

If I had one forrest left on my base, most animals would spawn there and likely most of them would stay around it. I’d like to see the same thing even if there is no forrest left.

I noticed that my animals were mostly on the road and now they're not. It did seem to be a result of clearing all of the forests (i think there was a cost, time or person reduction so i cleared them all).

My animals have a tendancy to lurk behind buildings now.

Yep, same here. Cleared all after reduction of time to do it and required citizens. And also same… Animals lurking behind buildings or hiding behind the non-removable forrests on the south-west side of my base. Supply drops and single trees also spawns in the outer line, I even fail to see them most of the time.

Personally l like the animals walking around my base. I'd be annoyed if they changed it just because you regret having cleared all the forests.

I don’t mind them animals being around my base… It’s when I want to hunt them I get annoyed. Hard to find and my one hunting citizen runs a marathon for every animal. Maybe they could just set a timer on the hunt? Like it is with them mines and bushes? :)

If ya didn’t want the critters walking around why take away all the forest lol Think it should not change as a lesson in not taking away natural habitats lol

Well… Duh, it was a bit difficult to know before. And lesson is very much learned, unfortunately that doesn’t help as no forrest ever regrows. Maybe it should be possible to place those random growing trees together and let that become a new habitat. Hm…

Or, ofcourse, lesson is already learned. Not sure what you’re trying to troll about, why do you think I’m posting about it? And sure, make it a 3-4 month progress, I’ll take that anytime over what’s going on right now.

Not trying to troll. Just stating there should be a definite cost to clearing all forest.

You gain space by doing it sure and can help with base design having the extra space.

The reason I state 4 months or longer trees take very long time to grow. So by not thinking about where the critters go if ya removed that last square of forest, well ya found out all over the place. It’s would be proper in my eyes to make ya deal with it as reminder not to over look details. Yet lately the been more kind. So them coding a regrowth might also suck if they make it reclaim any unused land and next thing you know we all stuck constantly clearing regrowth. Just saying.

Actually the regrowth thing could work. There are trees that spawn randomly right? When tapping on a tree there could be another option besides 'Clear' - there could be an option to 'Regrow' which might cost 1000 crowns and take 21 days and the square would only grow around that tree.

I still have a few forests left to clear... I plan on leaving one (in a corner) as a "Nature Preserve" if only to make it easy to find all the huntable animals.
And because it is silly and fun.

I think animals stop wandering through your town when you enclose it with walls, not when you clear all the forests. but I could be wrong...

It happens when you clear all forest hence is why I have 1 forest square. The critters all stay there like fish in barrel.

The trees only pop up there on the 1 square now also. So 1 square works great.

Regrowth if allowed should take forever cause trees take forever grow.
