Attack missing from history and troops didn't return

I deployed all my troops. When I realized that I was going to completely wipe out the enemy's base, I put the phone down to do something. My iPhone automatically locks after 1 minute. When I turned the iPhone back on, I got all the loots. But my troops didn't return and that attack doesn't show up in the Attack history.
