aircraft are not like normal units, once you deploy them, they have limited amount of ammunition and once they run out, they leave the map
they are good for about 2 attacks per unit

This won't work with the current treaty model. Having to wait 20-30+ minutes between battles will only work if treaties don't expire when attacking.

Go to your temple and read the all the blessings. Enlightenment players don't wait 30 mins between battles. I wait less than 2.

After watching a video I kow what you meant. Yes they work the same way but with the difference, that they are re-usable during combat.
