Atomic Age has been released for a long time. The dock is now more useful than it was and there is a discount, but where is the Atomic Age upgrade for it? The troops you get from the dock are still extremely weak compared to event or purchased troops, and the max you can currently get is a global age troop.
For example, the Zero plane, which can be obtained from a max dock, has only 1/3 of the health and damage of my Mk.6 Strike Fighter. It's never going to be worth it for me to spend 4 workers and 2 days to get one, as it's totally outclassed in the Atomic Age. It couldn't survive a single pass over any defense building. Our planes got university upgrades to boost them, but the dock troops were left behind, and are now virtually worthless compared to recently added troops.
