We should have Tournaments you can sign up for

Tournaments are fun and can really expand your skills. We should have tournaments that we can sign up for. We could be put into groups by medal count and age.
Similar to the World Cup. You are put into a group. You play those in that group. Top 2 move on to the knock out stages until you have a winner. You could expand it to Alliances as well.

These things do work. They are fun and competitive. If you could, please expand on the why it doesnt work?

I can see people sand bagging. Age group and level would be important. Even if we went Drone age VS Drone age and Industrial VS industrial age. Knowing you won the Classic age tournament would be a nice thing. Heck, it could keep going. Have all the classic age winners move on to the next round of a super tourney. The highest level won’t really matter at that point. It will be skill based on what you have focused on
