I would like to see Offense based building (FSH and hangars) be put under the same rules as Defense Building.

If I put my Zook tower up after wars starts, it is not part of my base defense till war is over.

Why is fair for Offense Buildings (FSH and Hangars) to be placed after start of war and then player get use the units/ benefits it produces to attack with and they do not appear in their war base but player gets to use the units/benefit for war hits.

I propose if your offense building (such as FSH and Hangers) is not placed before war starts then you can’t use it or benefits from it in war ( no issue with mp battles)This is how it goes for the defense so it should be same with offense. Would help stop false reporting cause defender see no FSH and Hanger so they report for cheating.

It is very simple to look at the buildings of the attacking player; to do this, you need to go to the “search for alliances”, find the opponent’s alliance in it, in which a list of all players will open. Next, simply open the base of the player you need and you will see all the buildings that are installed in real time

Thank you for stating that, I get that you can look it up my alliance informed me of that thankfully ( Misfits leaders you rock).

The is issue still the buildings do not show up on war map and they still get to use a building that does not appear or force them to edit base before start of war to place them. This is an unfair advantage cause they are stealth building and defenders have to place their buildings before start of war to use them. Also places defenders at disadvantage in setting coal.

Example O players waits to add the FSH and Hanger to base till after war starts and right before they perform war hit.

Defense Player sees no FSH or Hanger and sets coals according Egyptian Russian Moari . If the FSH and Hanger are visible the D player would use Flip instead of Moari. This is disadvantage for the D players cause O players using invisible building. Even if D player looks up the O player when setting coals they won’t see it cause they haven’t set FSH and Hanger yet.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, please submit a ticket to our CS Team as well so that we can get this looked at. I'm going to move this topic to the Bug reporting threads as this isn't supposed to be happening.

The underlying complaint -- buildings do not show up on the warbase -- has been around since 2016. If I add a missile silo to my base in January but don't update my warbase and now it is June, when you look at my warbase during a war, you won't see my missile silo. And it won't whack your troops when you attack. However, if I have done the research to send attack missiles from my silo, then when I make my war attack, your base gonna get whacked.

Several people (I was one of them) incorrectly believe that they reduce their base's war weight by never updating their warbase. Thus you
can see an Automation base that has a few automation level farms and caravans, one automation level tower, and automation-level town center, and maybe nothing else on the base. On their multiplayer base, however, they might have a full set of offensive, economic and defensive buildings.

I don't personally think the game should work this way, but it has always been so. It is the same issue whether we're dealing with an event building or a new regular building. In multiplayer, the buildings show up and work when placed. In war, the buildings don't show up, or work on defence, until the warbase is updated to show them.

I think you're referring to this previous conversation https://forums.bighugegames.com/index.php?threads/war-weight-with-invalid-layout.29385/post-193306
Hey guys! @Harlems369th pointed this post out to me. I can confirm that whether or not your war base is up-to-date, we do calculate all of the buildings that you could put on it, not just the buildings that are already on it. This way we can combat sandbagging that could occur by just not putting certain things on your base.

As for your lower ranking on war teams; keep in mind that both offense and defense are important. If you're high in offense then you'll do better in attacks, but if you're low in defense then it is much easier for other lower-offense players to beat you too! We try to keep this balance in mind when matching up alliances for war ;)

You are at a major disadvantage if you aren't updating your war base. That being said, regarding event buildings, after discussion with the Dev team, this is functioning as intended. They want you to be able to swap out offensive-based event buildings the way that you can now. Regardless of the point in time of the war, you can add an offensive event building like the hangars or fortified stronghold. Defensively, you'll need to update your war base, but it needs to be prior to the closing of the planning phase.

As you know, even when adding new buildings to your main base, you'll always need to update your war base, as this isn't done automatically, and you could have a different build than your main. I misread the OP from @Seek, but this is working as intended so long as offensive buildings are the ones being added to the war base. You still shouldn't see a Bazooka Tower after the planning phase concludes if the player didn't already have one added to their war base.

Well FSH states it is a defense building this building should have to be set before wars start.

This does not show in war base if added after war start or because of lack of updating war base So the defender does not see it.

The event building Hangers being added after war starts is a big disadvantage to defenders who would have gone Flip coal if they seen that building .

When I made the suggestion it was to stop this cause it appears as cheating at first glance and cause false reports. The other reason was the disadvantage for defenders by using stealth buildings and tactic not shown prior to war start.

Basically if a building is not added before war starts it should not in anyway be able to help attack or defend unless it can be seen in war. Adding after war start or not updating war base is unsportsmanlike. Stealth hanger and FSH ( again is defense building) not fair to defenders. Not mention where is the 5 th stronghold space for defenders

Wait, you can add buildings to your base after the war starts and have the use of those buildings?
I don't war but this seems like the stupidest idea ever.
What's the point of being able to spy on a base if the enemy can then introduce buildings after you've seen their base? (offensive or otherwise)

Defensive building and where defenders 5 th space on defense. If not it is just a I WIN for O players to buy mainly. If that’s the case why pretend Defending even matters on this game.

The argument @ Harlem made about not updating war base being big disadvantage in my eyes is false. O players don’t care about their base till high info age only because they need to progress. That way they stay lite war weight and smack as hard as the big dogs. It is total advantage for O player to do this it works and wins wars. Is it fair No and would be easy fix by forcing war base update anytime there is a building in Que, plus already red alert ! . No update No war

Doesn't work that way Seek. Your war weight depends on the buildings and techs associated with your account, whether you update the war base or not. So whether you have the missile silo and bunkers and stronghold on your warbase or not, if you put them onto your multiplayer base, they count against your war weight. If you don't update your war base, you can't use those buildings to defend your base, but they count against your war weight anyway.

How do I know this? (a) Because @Harlems369th told me. (b) because I tried it. I built a space age account and stopped updating my warbase in medieval, thinking that would keep my war weight low. I am a lightweight attacker and, until I hit digital era, was ranked middle to low-middle position on my alliance's war team. Eventually (space age), I updated the warbase, bringing in all my buildings. This had zero impact on my ranking on our war team--if my war weight had gone up from adding all the stuff to my warbase, my rank would have shot up significantly.

It does work that way but worded unclearly O player light weight strategy starting out will not upgrade defense will not upgrade anything they don’t have too on defense or economy, keep war weight low. They don’t update war base cause they want the advantage of you not seeing stuff they added. Is where they gaining unfair advantage nothing about their war weight is behind not updating war base it’s about hiding buildings and its huge advantage. so putting in FSH and Hanger and not updating war base is big advantage cause unlike Zook tower can’t use in war till war base updated you can use those.

Thanks for pointing out. good looking out

I don't know about unsportsmanlike, I come from an era where throwing in super turbo was frowned upon, so I get what you mean and I absolutely see where you're coming from! It's a fair suggestion and worth bringing up.

The case of FSH is that it alters the Troop Tactic count too so it has a bit of both offense and defense when it goes up.

Well to be fair FSH should be players choice to use troop tactic space on D instead of O but all building if they effect war in anyway should be set prior to war or it unfair advantage to the Offense side. This would increase sales of FSH cause defenders would finally have a reason to purchase it.

The entire hidden buildings/ stealth is like a sucker punch from guy your fighting best buddy and then they both jump ya in Bar fight. Is way I see see it from Gen X veiw lol

The whole discussion here ignores the fact that offensive buildings can also disappear during the war and are therefore no longer available for the second attack.
In contrast, defensive buildings remain in the war base even if they disappear from the MP base.

If you require O-buildings to be placed before the start of the war, then you must also ensure that their bonus is available for the second war attack, even if the building disappears from the MP base. Otherwise, the D buildings will have an unfair advantage.
Thank you for pointing this out. I would totally agree with that it is fair. All buildings set before war starts would last duration of war. O or D same rules that is totally fair. But ghosting building effecting war should never had been allowed plus now it being exploited by not updating war bases to hide them for the entire duration of hanger and FSH. Especially among auto age players. Kinda defeats the spy option why have it if this type of exploiting war base update is allowed.

Players still not updating war bases for entire duration of their building ( FSH and Hangers) using them to stealth hit in multiple wars.

Till this stopped this totally makes spying/scouting pointless.
