Season 9 - Ambitious Assault

Prepare your forces for Season 9; Ambitious Assault! During this Season, the Tactical Helicopter will move much faster and have more Hitpoints, but will heal for less. Mortar Infantry will deal more damage and move quicker, but will have less range. Recon planes will grant increased bonus damage via recon scans, but will have significantly less Hitpoints. For Defending players, Stables will spawn defensive units faster with less Hitpoints, while Bunkers will have more Hitpoints but spawn defensive units slower.

This Season starts on 08/25 at 15:00 UTC and will end on 11/10 at 16:00 UTC.

Curious to see if the decreased mortar range actually makes a difference. We have these things grouped 10+ deep so in reality a faster movement speed and higher damage will just result in an even faster demolition of everything. Just have to keep them away from a decked out parliament cannon.
 
Since the stable spawn time minimum is still capped at 10 sec, that is not really a buff for most players.
How is the spawn time calculated btw?
If I for example have 100% defender spawn time reduction, and is attacked by one with 30% addition to defender spawn time, will it be capped at 10 sec and then added 30% or will I just have 70% reduction?
 
this season must have been among the worst ever.

We all got so much frustration out of it

Hi Harlem,
As far as I know, there is no notification for us when you edit the post. Neither does it move up under ‘what's new’, nor is it marked in bold.
As a result, I was unaware of the changes until oddin's post today. It would be nice if you could at least comment ‘updated’ or ‘edited’ under edited threads.
Or someone explain to me where else on the website I can see this?
 
Could you consider keeping the new mortar infantry range at 5 after this season? I mean, it makes more sense compared with other ranged troops and gives an opportunity to counter them with towers.

Are you serious? According to you, this is a new strategy - to take a unit and make it absolutely useless? The heavy tank takes 24 places and is used only because of the large number of hit points, but you are going to make it absolutely useless. This -30% will affect BASE hit points and any tank will become two to three times weaker than now. Instead of decreasing hit points, it would be better to increase movement/attack speed.

Who comes up with such "new strategies"?
Do these people even play the game?
Why is there no pause between seasons?

Give us a break from this nonsense. Conduct a normal survey of ALL players of the space age and above and I am sure you will be surprised by the new results.

As you say, a HT is only used because of it's hp - so naturally they take away the hp. Just like the new log in system where people were supposed to log into the new system - except the one thing we couldn't do was log in. 😄
And don't bother asking for them to change their mindset - didn't you see Harlem's post explaining how people were happy with the seasons?

I saw that post, that's why I wrote above "Conduct a normal survey of ALL players of the space age and above and I am sure you will be surprised by the new results"
