Munitions for Generals?!

Since the introduction of munitions, every single troop has received an immense buff to their damage and survivability, except generals…

Generals are extremely weak now compared to everything else, when they were once a very formidable troop on offense and defense.

Can you please look into balancing the troops by allowing generals to equip munitions so they’re used for more than just meat shields in the corner that lure the missile silo away from the rest of your army?

I don’t see why Gens need buffed they gain buffs as they level up adding munitions would be just a wasted month of making them.

They just need to add more levels and maybe add some new ones or even a flying gen. I am sure the new levels will come with new age. But a flying Gen on D and O would be cool add

I fail to understand your logic behind this statement.

You’re saying generals don’t need munitions because they level up, yet every other troop has munitions and also levels up with new ages… it’s not balanced properly and generals have drastically fallen behind in terms of power compared to every other unit in the game because of this.

Increased HP/DPS would come with adding levels.

They already have special abilities adding to them with munitions more than likely make them over powered. So i don’t see it being a good idea in long run.

Making them more useful than just meat shields is a good idea but simply adding DPS/HP is just making the attacking army stronger - which will no doubt draw complaints from certain defensive players - which will probably lead to munitions that counter the Generals munitions - so more munitions on top of more munitions, ad infinitum ...
I think a better option is to give Generals special abilities as leaders - something that's been requested many times before. Things like healing aura or bonus hp to surrounding troops, or speed bonus when rallying, etc ...
I think some out-of-the-box thinking is good for the game, once in a while.

That’s a valid solution as well. Either way, something has to be done to make generals relevant again.

I like most of your ideas. It would be really interesting to use munitions with special abilities on generals.

But aren't munitions applied not only to offensive units but also to defensive ones? I think this wouldn't favor offensive side.

Depends what the munitions actually do but l stand by my statement because you know what players are like - O will complain about D and D will complain about O. 😄

Well I would not mind seeing them adding a general on O and D instead of having 3 make it 4 in the castle and 4 to attack and still keep the 1 gen pentagon. Also the abilities added to Gens for both O and D on each Gen.

This would make the Gens better for both sides .
