Can’t log in at all

One of my alliance members is having trouble logging in, the game loads go to main screen then closes and goes back to his ph home screen. We have tried resetting the phone, turning off the ph etc.. everything short of deleting the app and starting again, he is not link to game centre or fb, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Best I can suggest is linking it to game centre or Facebook and try to delete and reinstall, clean device storage but it could be that the device is to old and can’t handle the game anymore. I had this happen last year with the atomic update and it turned out to be the device itself couldn’t handle it anymore.
