0ver 200 days to upgrade Hanibal Barca last 2 upgrades for lvl 3

2/3's of a year to upgrade Fort General Upgrade costs and mercenary hit points at a lvl 3 .

This game is nothing but Pay to win. That is a ludicrous amount of time to except players to do thee upgrades. Just sad

according to wiki it is 95 days for each BUT for some players that are more advanced in age and have done more research, the time is different.
i.e. fort reduce citizen by 1 is 7 days but for me it is 4d 21h which is way less.

Hannibal takes too much time, right now 31/57, I started at the beginning, for me it’s a long long term General
CWA lvl 248 with a lot of research done

The timeline isn't unreasonable, it comes with a sizable improvement to overall force (a permanent 30% boost in mercenary and general hitpoints, along with unlocking a powerful general, is a big deal).

so they’re only half as long as da vinci’s HT researches (more like a quarter if you take into account the number of workers needed). that’s not so bad. and generals are endgame stuff so no one really needs to do that in a rush anyway. and even without paying a cent, university enthusiasts would be finished with the university altogether already about now if it werent for hannibal, so its good that theres something there to keep the building useful.

I have not seen anyone with hannibal yet even those people that are lvl 290 ish. I'm sure in the top alliances hannibal has shown his face. But it's true that I feel like this bracket is more geared towards end game stuff as having higher lvl generals really helps in those attacks against the damn nearly maxed bases. I don't see why the war academy stuff is there maybe to benefit lower lvl players but I find nearly everything very useful especially the general reduction time. If all you care about is getting hannibal than yes for sure it would seem insane to try and get there but if you look at the individual levels and their benefits than getting hannibal is just a bonus. Of course if someone already has the maxed generals than most of the tree would seem irrelevant.

I’m working on these 2 now and the 10th point is 10d 12h I think. I’ll confirm in a few days when 9 finishes. Currently 3/10 on general cost and 9/10 merc hp. I crowned general upgrade time.

It is a very long time I agree however I don’t have much left to upgrade so it’s my reason to login at the moment.

Would be nice if we could use spare library or armour research slots to focus multiples within the one uni leader.

No idea how long Hannibal it’s self will take. If I remember in 2-3 months I’ll post back the time.

There are definitely Hannibal’s marching around out there. Seen a couple myself. Mine’s half done (the easy half). I don’t mind the wait, it’s consistent with everything else and as pointed out above you get a lot more than just the Elephant King.

That is because it costs food or gold, and you have completed mansa / hiawatha. These last layers all take oil, and do not get that time discount.

So I asked in the reddit forums and they answered it on one of the live streams because I wanted to know if they leveled up when he levels up. The answer was they do level up for every 10 levels that Hannibal levels up. So since he starts at level 20, presumably this means they level up at levels 30, 40, 50 and 60. The stats however for the elephants are still unknown.
