after all, this technology is available only from the Automation age, and by that time all the necessary ammunition will have already been manufactured and platinum is not needed.

All ammunition will have been manufactured? Hardly.
Platinum takes the longest to produce so any extra you can earn is welcome, although l don't know why it's limited to WW battles.
(Platinum is actually available from manufactory lvl 1 - Industrial age)

yesterday pumped up the 50th ammunition to the last level, although I play in defense, the manufactory appeared when the base was in the information age.
absolutely all ammunition is not needed, only for those units that the player plays and which are relevant in base defense
