Why continue playing in 2019 - after 2 years Im just tired now

I started Dominations 2 years ago when CoC didnt really invented new things and became boring after 2 years too.
Dominations was fresh and fun to play over the last years - but for the last 6 month I noticed I just lost interest because I noticed its getting more and more boring.

Upgrading takes way too long - I mean some days is ok, but why should I play it when all my workers are busy fpr another week - so in a day I fill my resources and then what ... ?
WHY should I play if I gain NOTHING - I have my ressources filled and I cant DO anything to progress.

WINNING battles is nearly impossible - as a Global Age player I nearly have no chance even against Players 50 points lower than me. But that we all know.
So for the last 4 month I was just using the RAIDERS to get ressources and 2 stars from town centers. Whenever I tried to use tanks - even MK ones I cant get 5 stars.
But why should I use MK tanks - building them after a lost attack is way too expensive measured in oil and time - raisders are way cheaper and faster !
But raiding isn't fun at all - and battling with loosing troupd neither.

I spent some money when I started - around 80 US$ in the start for workers and crwons - so thats a fair amount for a game I used now for 2 years.
But as I see nexon ruining the game more and more and just adding more and more items to buy - I just look for a new game out there that I can start playing.

Im done with Dominations now - I don't see a future in 2019 playing it.

PhilGoetz, maybe try a different alliance and see if you find new ways to enjoy the game? If you want to continue the game and find more fun, a new alliance could offer a different perspective. Our Global and Atomic players also have long build times, but the chat has ongoing conversations, they discuss strategies and change and challenge war bases, we have wars, etc.

I am still in a lower age, so I get their advises all the time and they help me be a better player. So maybe you could use your two years of expertise to help other players and that will also add fun for you?

Obviously - if you want to go, you should, but if people want ideas on why to play when your workers are all busy, the answer to me is - connect with other players and go to war.

Correct, one fun part of this game it’s to make friends in Alliance, and Global Age is the worst Age in this game, so join our Alliance it’s a friendly one created in July 2015

i would quit too, if i was global but still couldnt defeat SAM-less industrials. or if i had my rss filled but still found it too expensive to replace any lost troops other than raiders.

True, GA is the worst age. One of my accounts is level 135 IA, can't wait to hit GA, and can't even wait longer to reach level 155 so I could just advance to AA!
But... GA is the best age to practice if you decide to be a Heavy Tank king!
You however have 2 options, join a big warring alliance, people there give a lot of support to help you grow higher; or join small alliances and help them out

Yes being in an alliance is nice - but nowadays I'm also tired of those because they all want jst the best.
They are "very supportive" on the outside, but beware if you join because after some weeks they start telling you "you are already a global, why you dont have maxed troups/defense?"
And the wrong answer then is "Sorry guys but you know it needs month to max out everything...." ... then you realize they just want to be no. 1 in the global toplist and only want gamers that get them 5* every time. Im just so sick of it !

And also, I like a game where I can actually PLAY for 1-2 hours continuously.
But now with Lvl 201 in Global (yeah I max out before I advance) I go online, grab my resources, do one attack and than after maybe 10 Minutes Im finished playing and I cant do anything else !

What kind of FUN should that be ?

they start telling you "you are already a global, why you dont have maxed troups

if you’re a 201 global but you dont have your troops upgraded to global level, that would be why you cant win, and why you cant play for 2 hours, and advising you to upgrade your troops is what good allies do. and it doesnt take months to upgrade your troops. upgrading rifle + cannon + tank + 5 levels of fighters takes exactly 30 days on double slots

It's something with your medals Phil. Lower them to the bottom it's amusing to raid on little guys.
​​​​​​Your principle is actually same with me; I never want to use factory troops in mp. The difference is my base(s) is rushed, that's why I always have stuff to do (even with the 11-12 days upgrades), never boring! I play in lower league, and most importantly, I hang out in alliance
Why don't you get an alliance where top players are global also? Or mid industrial, they will love to talk to you, will have similar stuff to talk about.

you play the game wrong and here is why:

BEFORE the rebalance stages, it was a good practice to do all offensive upgrades of troops you use AND 90% of defensive upgrades. Then it was safe to go to the next age.
AFTER the rebalance, and because defence got so strong, there is an unequality between offence and defence. In order to deal with this, you must advance one age and max offence first, as always.
In your case, since you are Global, you have to do this:

- upgrade only airplanes and troops you use to the max.
- only do defensive upgrades when there are cut offs in price
- Once you are done with your troops, immediately go Atomic
- Max your offence and do nothing else

Fyi, I was before the rebalance, Global 208 level, much like you, and made a super rush to reach 220 and go Atomic and within a few weeks advance again to CWA. This was my smartest move so far in dominations. Do NOT stay anymore in global than you need to max troops. Go AA.

I don't get why people say GA isn't fun and u should advance...I am a 174 lvl GA/Roman and I have maxed almost all the offensive troops l..the defences are getting upgraded one by one..but lot more to go..I stay in medal ranges of 800+/- 100 and it is peaceful there ...gets attacked maybe once in a week for stars, easy atomics and globals available for loot...I use a full HT army with 6 mk3s, 4 fighters, 2 zookas and 2 infantry...I also carry 4 heal, 2 sabo and 1 decoy to battles..post rebalance was difficult before I switched to full HT setup..but now it's much more easy..I loose all of them on a strong base once in a while but then there is instant retrain..the new domination bonus structure ensures that I get plenty of resources for attacking atomic.(6k oil for 5 star)..during this University discount event I almost completed entire 10 boost level for bombers in Amelia and still sit near to 200k oil... I have bombers and transports to be maxed for offence and they are running in parallel..also I focus my citizens on leo for ht offence..remaining for def upgrades..I plan on staying GA until Iget at least 5 levels for ht offence in leo and finish amelia and get my main def buildings and walls to max levels..also want to get 3/4 of my generals into 30+ (currently 3 at 20+)...so probably will be going atomic in summer rush
in wars I always go with Americans and same army combo and I am able to 5/4 star atomics until 210-220 with troop cards..my best was a 3 star 96% vs an almost maxed out atomic in 230-240 range with 2 level 7 D coals
My museum play a greate role in my mp attacks..I have +30% fighter hp...and around +15% enemy def spawn time ...

good for you Deathstreak but you are lower level than philgoetz so you are not in the same position. He must go AA. You can stay in GA a bit longer but not that much. By staying in Global too much, you lose more than you gain and that was my biggest mistake 6 months ago.

Come on, don't give too much pressure to Phil, he needs to find the fun again before he could start advancing

I have a story, from my other alliance. This guy is level 200 GA. His defense is OP for a GA. Medium skilled CW never scored 5 on his base. Before, he was around level 180 and still IA. I used to laugh at him, saying oh come ooon, my level 155 is already atomic and you are still industrial? Of course that's joking but also a motivation. Later he advanced to GA, maxing his HT and fighters. But I noticed he was a player that got too comfortable in his zone, so he would mess with his base, better than his attacks. His defense are maxing now for GA. And that makes him always sitting in top rank each war. But guess what, we finally found a way for his own comfort. Told him, go activate 3 defense coalitions every time. Don't attack their top bases, just get those maxed industrial in middle rank, let them rushed atomic get the top ranks. And it works! Even if they get mismatch with CW enemies (they don't have CW players in alliance), they could win the wars!
Everyone has different way of playing, just gotta make sure you're comfortable with it! There are alliances out there that believe in maxing before advancing.

However, I fully agree, that we have to max our offense first, as fast as we can! For better toys, right?

I'm global have been there for a while. I can 4-5 star most any base 50 level below. I have had to completely change strategies since the rebalance. After an adjustment period, I now like the rebalace because 100% war 5 stars are no longer the norm. If you aren't able to get improvement support from your alliance, you are in the wrong place.
