What troops do you think are least used in the game? 🤔

I've never seen the Assault Vehicle of the armory in battle being used. Seems like a mediocre unit.
APCs and and MRLs are quite rare to see as well but it seems they are making a new appearance in the post-AR era now.
The other units seem quite balanced for me at the moment, both by power and popularity. The bomber is clearly the least used of the 3 plane types, but I wouldn't say useless. Maybe situational.

Before proceeding I'm only taking war into consideration when I express the following opinions. MP is a whole different monster.
I would say that while limited to the higher levels, I agree assault vehicles are the worst and rarely used. It has the benefit/problem of being tank-like but not really a tank so it's suffering from an identity crisis. Not to mention the museum doesn't have a buff for them which is bad if you want to use them but great for mostly everyone else because that's one less junk stat to mix in. Overall it has nothing to do with popularity rather it has to do with the effectiveness of the unit in a fight. Mortar troops and attack helicopters get their own library section because they stink and even afterwards, not good enough. I do see attack helis get used in war but by the losing side. You can mix those units in but there's a reason you don't really see the higher lvl players using them much. I think machine gunners get less used when you get higher in level but I'm trying to use them again only because they can shoot over walls. Bombers have huge damage number but again useless because one sam could potentially take them down.
Depending on the base I actually like MRL's. It's just a matter of not using a whole army of them. I've went back and forth with an alliance member and we have a pretty good set up. 18-20 ish rpgs, 2-3 wall breachers, 4 apcs, and 2-3 mrls. The mrls move a bit slower but not necessarily a bad thing. They actually do a ton of damage and with the heavy infantry fighting up front, the rpgs right behind them and the mrls raining from the back it becomes pretty effective. I use aztec and american coals. I don't use ethiopian because I want the tank destroyers hp up and I also have field howis as my alliance troops to mix in a good balance of melee and range. The other issue that I sometimes come across is that rpgs have a lot of hp so raising their HP would potentially draw the silo fire to them which I don't want. I'm also very careful about using decoys and such to make up for having less hp.

They’re really good defenders but yeah offensively fun only for raiding.

Almost every war at least a couple of bases pop armoured cars out of TC. Not uncommon at all.
Uncommon for offense, yes, but not defense.

You guys are right, I do see them occasionally coming out of a war base. I still believe they are the worst troop though; in the extremely rare event that Im raiding, the last thing I want to do is burn oil on disposable troops.
Assult vehicles may be a deadend troop but armored cars are actively counter intuitive to their intended purpose. They cost too much and they take too long train, at least assult vehicles can be trained in any barrack, armored cars require a higher level factory, so if you are like many of us you can only train 1 at a time.

I think bombers got nerfed with the addition of bastions, since now the main task of aviation is to destroy anti-tank guns protected with bastions. And while fighters do it clean, bombers break them together with the bastion, which we want to avoid as much as possible.

the only useful unit from barracks as of the rebalance stage 2-3 and onwards.

I use them a lot! I prefer them to Ranged Siege. I agree they have short range, but they do a very good damage and are much harder to kill. I usually use 6 Heavy Cavalry and 6 Assault Vehicles.

On my side, don’t use Tactical Helicopters anymore, armored cars only for defense in WW, and less Heavy Tanks due to Bastions. Regarding barrack troops never used Assault Vehicle.
i was using Field Mortars a lot with a range of 5, not anymore, too much troop space.
i like now attack helicopters, essentially with some of my army composition. Fully upgraded at library
MRL, like them but I never find a great army composition with them and slow shooting or not enough dmg
