Seasonal leaderboard steal rewards

We recently won our seasonal leaderboard and have been flooded with players joining to collect the reward and then leave once they have the reward. Is the something that can be done to stop this. Thanks

The way our leaderboard system works this shouldn't be the case. Your primary alliance is locked in at your first login of the Leaderboard. Further, during the reward phase, new players joining will not obtain the rewards but will still be able to claim rewards based on their previous alliance.

Thanks that is good to know. Every time we won the leaderboard we get flooded with new players during the reward phase and then leave straight away so thought they were doing it to steal our rewards

They cannot receive rewards during a reward period however.
