Civil War Event 4/6 - 5/4
This week is our Civil War Event.

The American Civil War began after decades of tension over whether the U.S. federal government had the power to prohibit slavery in territories that had not yet become states. Those tensions reached a boiling point with the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860. He was the first Republican presidential candidate to run on a platform pledging to keep slavery out of the territories. Lincoln’s victory in the 1860 election caused seven southern states to secede from the Union and form the Confederate States of America. Four more states would join the Confederacy after the Confederate army took Fort Sumter in Charleston, South Carolina in April 1861. Over the course of the next four years, there would be thousands of military engagements, and fifty major battles to determine the outcome of the war. The result of the conflict was the deadliest war ever fought on American soil, with 620,000 soldiers killed and millions more injured, and an end to slavery in the United States.

Over the last week, we have banned 38 players thanks to your help in reporting possible cheating and players exploiting the game.

While we make regular checks and investigations throughout the week, our vigilance can only go so far without your help. With your continued assistance, we can ensure that DomiNations maintains a fair and competitive play environment!

Can we get an actual date on when the special estate will go on sale instead of this “keep an eye out” nonsense?

The estate has been “on sale” on your website for the past couple of days but the transaction never goes through. Since we do not have a date, I don’t know if it didn’t go through because the sale is not live yet or if it was something else and I need to contact customer support.

Personally think that whenever a players is Banned they are put on public viewable list preferably with alliance they were a member of when caught cheating. ( not real name but game account name )

This would help show how serious cheating is considered on this game. This would also allow players to chose to associate of alliances that allow cheaters in their ranks.

Posting of the players account name would also sting by rendering their game name worthless when posting to YouTube etc. Don’t think players that cheat deserve privacy put them on BLAST

Not to mention those of us that mistrust BHG is actually catching cheaters by posting the ACCOUNT NAMES shows proof.

Like I said lol they want people to trust them make it public and of corse fix replays/ report.

They broke terms of service and should have zero right to privacy. If BHG caught 19 and 38 we’ll bust out the 57 account names and alliances they were in. Just saying ya caught 57 players doesn’t prove anything.

Zero trust 10 years of not having proof War Battles are legit tend to erode trust completely.

Hacks that are noticeable in war (e.g. 20 Fighter or Classical Ages beats Atomic Age, ...) are likely to catch my eye. But there are many other hacks, like infinite resources, infinite crowns, too many workers (if the surplus works in uni or traps, then we can't see them) or hacks in their multiplayer battles. We can't see that and therefore can't control them, but support can find and ban them. This would damage the reputation of my alliance without me having any influence over it.

Furthermore, if I want to ruin your reputation, I create a base named Seek that is in a self-created Exile alliance and get this base banned. This would attack your reputation because the user id and alliance id would not be included. But even with ids, it wouldn't be helpful since no one knows your real id to compare.

Well there are ways to tell a Seek level 100 and Seek Level 485 member of CTRL ALT Exiles player number 666666 etc plus so the making of fake account would be kinda pointless. ( my bad for not saying in early post that player number and alliance number should be included in the public blast as this would be needed )

As for the alliance being public gives players a choice to join a alliance that has maybe 5 players banned compared to one that has had 50 players banned. I will even go a step further in make the count part of alliance description screen.

Putting on public blast is a big deterrent from groups doing stuff like mining museum and having to carry that scarlet letter on their alliance.

Folks want BHG tough on cheaters well get tough.

In well-made games, I wouldn't mind cheaters being publicly exposed. But DomiNations is a bunch of data privacy violations. A game like that should be careful about exposing anyone publicly.

Sounds to me either on the side of cheaters or just trying to disagree to disagree to the idea. ( but what’s new when it comes to ideas I post. all good brother I have thick skin and find it funny)

Cheaters break terms of service and should not be shielded in anyway. Put them on blast
