Horrible war matchmaking and sandbaggers

Is NEXON ever going to do anything to fix their war matchmaking? Our 22k glory just started a 3rd war in a row against AFTERMATH, they have over 28k glory and are ranked #29!!!! But it’s all good because they use 6 Iron Age bases with 10stars or less!!!! To make up for the 10cwa and 14atomic/globals!!! If this matchup happens 3times in a row than something is seriously broken in this game! Fix your crap NEXON!!!

As a member of AFTERMATH, I appreciate your frustration in the matchmaking process. We were looking forward to crossing swords with another team but find ourselves across the chessboard from you.

We do use irons to manage the avg strength of the roster but there is nothing inherently wrong with that approach. We were surprised at being matched with you the first time. Three times in a row really highlights the need for Nexon to make changes to its algorithm.

At this point, let's just look forward to a good contest where each side gives its best so that when the war is over we can be proud of the effort put forth regardless of outcome.

I agree with you Jarl. It has been terrible. I’m from Aftermath, and I assure you that we have been trying to avoid your alliance as well. I’m not a fan of sandbagging, personally, but I like my team and they choose to do it. I will say, if you notice, that our first match had 7 bags. Our second had 6. This time it’s 5. We’ve done this in an attempt to get a more fair matchup for both sides. No way were we trying to match you guys 3 in a row. We have been on the other side of this situation many times and it sucks, no doubt. Sandbag teams, more often than not, match other sandbag teams. Our last war, prior to meeting you guys, was against Ares Diamonds and they are a top 10 team and were using bags as well. They kicked our butts really good. So it comes around and goes around. I would never want to meet the same team 3 times in a row regardless of which side of the spectrum we are on. If you guys will communicate with us, we will gladly make sure we are spinning different size wars after this one ends

Yeah, do each other a favour, send in a diplomat when the wars coming to an end.... communicate to stagger or mismatch the war size so you dont end up on round 4.... A frustrating mismatch is just as bad for the heavyweight in it being boring. ;-)

I’m sure it’s boring for you too after all we’ve decided not to even do any attacks with the exception of a few people you can clearly see no one on our side is getting coalitions or attacking... what’s the point. Nexon needs to stick to glory, alliances with over 6k glory difference should never be matched together regardless how many Iron Age bases they use, if they simply introduce a say +- 2k glory limit to war matchmaking this will never happen. We are always doing 30vs30 since they removed 35vs35 and we have 33-38 available for every war.. if you can wait a couple hrs after this war i’ll Make sure that we start a new one as soon as this one ends. Please let me know.

Yes I’ll start a 30vs30 war as soon as this one ends, we waited 8hrs after last one and we still got you, I couldn’ believe it, but here we are doing a 3rd war in a row. My line ID is the same as my name here in the forums (or in game)

That’s 3 times you have faced a big alliance, you should have learned from the first two matches to avoid them.Adjust your line-up and time zones.Alliances won’t be adjusting all the time for you to win .You’re lucky, Aftermath is giving you good consideration.

Passed this thread along to the team. I can see that teams could match again, since they have similar war weights, and both began searching at the same time (since they both just ended the war together). Kudos to all involved from these Alliances!

We once matched the same alliance 4 times in a row. Would be nice to prevent matching recent alliances, as suggested above.

In sane world, teams would be matched solely by age. The only people who would be upset over this are people who rush and they get crushed in multiplayer anyways so they should love it by now.

We've matched a few twice in a row but after losing twice, they didnot match us again. They must have been smart enough to 'get it' and change their war search time/size to not match us.
