While Gods of Olympus is an old game and probably not that competitive, it survived. They added gods, they added an "underworld" like the second village in clash of clans. But you may attack main village with your underworld gods so this is a very nice add.
They added "heroes" (like generals to defend base), they added new buildings. Also a lot of "balance" -> they make a good work at almost making 10 gods as strong one each others - while completely different role. Same for defensive building generally well adjusted ; we just have an issue with a recent building that is too strong because recent and they will keep adjusting it for sure. ( Interesting case : this building sends defenders who are particularly fast )

the alliance part is very weak however - as Drac mentionned you help others live donating troops during attack & defense and this is definitely not as interesting as ww. Sure you may chat and survey how your teammates manage to attack and defend. Still there is a reason alliance wars are popular =)

Soooo ... why are you playing this 2nd rate game??!
I hope you haven't spent any money on it.
Maybe because some of us like playing games, even the flawed ones. I've been a gamer since the 80's. I've played a plethora of different games. I don't have to only play and like one game. I like base building games. I keep trying different ones. I've kept playing a select few.

I understand that If anyone are interested in different games. This is a characteristic of a gamer.
I had four clan in COC and CR. I had ten accounts in the COC (and they are). All of my time, with those games was spent. The day I installed the Dominations, I left the rest. In fact, these two are not comparable. If the coc is a bike, the Dominations is a F35. With the same amount of difference.

You have that mixed up. Lol. Clash is the f35 and domi is some toddler crawling on the ground. Graphics is the only thing where you might have an argument. Clash is a fantasy themed game.

Let's point out some differences. Clash updates have minimal bugs which are usually fixed quickly. Domi updates can be game breaking to the point that the game is pulled from the store. Clash has 4 updates every year, two of them major ones. Domi has no update schedule. Clash updates are at the same time for android and iOS while domi updates are not. Clash has update notes with numbers on everything. For domi, we have to crowdsource the info. Clash has a good map editor while domi does not. Clash has a balanced game that isn't p2w and has many different attacking and defending options. Domi heavily favors offense and pushes iap in your face and is p2w. Clash has community managers who are active with the community and the content creator program. Is there a domi community manager? Lol. Do i need to go on?

In today's world, everyone is free to have any opinion. Even if it's wrong.we can't even convince a mosquito that fllower is better than sewage. The important thing is that it is good for it.
Of course, I don't think you believe in your idea about coc. Otherwise, you wouldn't have to defend another game in this forum.
Anyway, once upon a time, people enjoyed eating raw meat. But that doesn't mean it's better than steak.
(Of course, I'm not laughing at you. Maybe I feel sympathy.)

Apparently you like buggy, unbalanced, p2w games. That's your thing apparently. I prefer good games that are well designed and well maintained.

I notice that you didn't have any counters to my statement. Of course, that's because there aren't any viable ones.

I would love to prefer CoC because of what you said - in importance order, P2W, bugs, other stuff. However I was always bored during battles The rally would partly explain it ; then planes are to be controled during game. Maybe more troops to deploy ( like ground troops + general is equivalent to CoC but then you have planes + TT + donated troops ). What do you think about battle gameplay in both games?
Which is actually 99% of the game content.

I do like the the aspect of more direct control of troops in domi.

The tt is a good concept but it wasn't implemented right. Some are impacted by the museum and some aren't. There's no communication from bhg as to what impacts what. There are also too many tt locked behind a paywall. I've suggested that the stronghold could build legacy tt with a gold cost. Also, ground tt should level up with your age like the air tt do. The zeros tt you get from the dock need to upgrade period.

I do like the barracks rebalance because it brought some of them up to be relevant. Before that, attacks in domi were extremely boring. Everything was the same attack. Now there's a few more viable attacks.

With clash, i like the gameplay much better. You have to know how your troops work in order to use them more effectively. That part is true in both games though. Also in clash, you can use a lot of different air attacks and ground attacks. So in clash, the only way you get bored is if you only do the same thing over and over.

I would also say that base building is an integral part of this genre of gaming. Clash wins this hands down. They don't have the glitches that domi has. You can scroll the bar in Clash without risk of grabbing and moving the map instead like what happens in domi. In clash, you also have a photo mode where you can screenshot the whole base at one time with options. Walls only, show everything, scout view (no traps), etc. Clash also has base links to share base layouts without having to copy everything.

Another aspect is esports. Clash has multiple playing tournaments throughout the year. Their world championship pays out about $1million in total. Domi has nothing in this category.

So while domi does have a few things in its favor, Clash still has a lot more going for it.

Being able to spectate attacks (including war) in real time is a big bonus as well. Domi replays are more an estimate of the attack, and more often than not, they’re not a great representation of what actually happened

That was one of the things I most enjoyed about COC, real time spectate attacks. Domi's replay of attacks is FAIR, at best,.

Agree to everyth
ing you write. Official stats, Fair TT with gold, the fact barracks rebalance was nice, bad base building ui, shareable layouts (and dedicated apps..).

Did not know about real time specator in CoC. Funny.

Comparison is correct when two things are similar. When I see coc as a bicycle, what should I compare? But as for liking buggy games.. this is also incorrect. A game of this size definitely has problems. But compared to its advantages, they are negligible. You cannot compare it with a cartoon game without control.

Ouch, lol! There's no such thing as a wrong opinion - unless you think Hitler was only trying to improve political relations with Russia.

I like the discussion on offer here. Can't say it'll change my mind about CoC but it's a good discussion nonetheless.

At this level, I expect to understand the meaning well. Every person's opinion is related to him. But the action he does is related to the society. Also, we are talking about the game. Everyone has an opinion that is important to him. If someone likes a very simple game, You can't blame him. As I said, having a good mood determines the type of choice.

Lol all i have to say is for a game that's allegedly superior, it sure has a ton of bugs every update. Also, the playerbase is less than a million while Clash has around 75+million. So it looks like the bicycle game is outperforming the f35 game.

Fyi, Clash recently released another town hall level. Pretty much no bugs to speak of. Lots of new stuff and lots of promo from the dev team leading up to the release. Does domi announce any updates anymore?
