It had been discussed before, but I’d like to talk about it again adding an idea. We know that this game is purely pvp, but it still lacks some communication, tactics and activities, especially for those who don’t participate in world wars. We already have a small pve element at the start - the conquering of some maps in a solo mode. How about expanding it to the higher ages with addition of multiplayer, strategies and communication?
I suggest creating a much bigger map with more defensive buildings including some of the unique ones like Aztec temple or bazooka tower on a weekly basis and balanced to the team of five players. At first I was thinking about the possibility of simultaneous attack of five players, but I guess most mobile devices won’t be able to support that. So the team will attack this base one by one, the destruction level will be saved from the last attack so that the next attacker starts to fight with already damaged base, increasing the percentage of destruction. This opens a wide field for discussion and planning strategies.
There would be free levels of a multi-base available: industrial, atomic and space level. The level of a base offered to the team would depend on the highest player’s age: cold and space would attack space base, atomic and global would attack atomic, industrial and enlightenment would attack industrial, so there’s no reason for sandbagging. It’s also very important to have the possibility to choose difficulty level: first level - defensive buildings do normal damage and have normal hp, second level - 50% bonus to damage and hp, third level (for the top attackers) - 100% damage bonus and 250% hp bonus to defensive buildings.
The final result will depend on the percentage of destruction with 10 steps for each 10% of destruction (no quick victory, of cause). The reward may be some kind of chest similar to ww chest, it really doesn’t matter, the main interest is the process itself.
The benefit for players is interest, the benefit for Nexon is a new place where players can burn their troop cards, especially those players who don’t participate in wws, and a great opportunity to advertise new unique buildings, so that players could see them in action.
Nexon would need just to do three bases a week (after the programming module for such feature is done) or even delegate it to players - I’m sure there are a lot of players who would love to plan a giant tricky base for others to attack.
Sorry for not posting this in an “ideas” section, I think general discussion is much more readable)
