Hi boomboomboom!

Yes, it's true. You'd need to have a level 4 Factory (or higher) to earn additional Event XP by deploying Bazooka Troop(s) in a winning battle. However, the Group Leaderboard is set up to have players similar to you, so you'll be able to be a competitive force there!

My classical account deployed a donated Global heavy cavalry and got credit for “Deploy Battle Tank in winning battle”.

So you are telling me that when I participate in this event that the playing field (in my group) is level?

Strange because last event I ended up competing against Global and Atomic being Industrial in my group and for Global leader board, well there is no even competing field for anyone which makes the event pointless for anyone (Industrial Age and below) less then your minimum requirements.

When event pass buyers and non-event pass buyers are put into separate leaderboards, then I'll agree that the Group Leaderboards are set up to have players similar to me. As it stands, it has become impossible for a non-event pass buyer to win a Group Leaderboard, with all the free event xp that pass buyers get for doing the same things.

FWIW, I am Atomic Age and can testify that howitzers no longer fit my play style or (I think) most people Global Age and above.

I may have “luxury” of deciding not to use them, but it doesn’t feel like much of a luxury to be forced to use a unit no longer viable at your level of play.

Also, FWIW, I have not bought the event pass and am still 4th in my group—this despite not having deployed a howitzer the whole event.

You miss the point.

This event is geared to Global Age and above and every age from Industrial and lower can not compete effectively. There is no level playing field.

I am Industrial Age and have to compete against Global and Atomic bases. I do not get the XP bonus as I can not train RPG’s.

Well, since I couldn’t train RPG and the times for training Howitzers are longer than RPG, also that the troop spaces are different, Howies are 9 ! it meant I wasn’t able to compete against the Atomic and Globals who finished higher than me in this event. Top 10 in Group but far away from competing evenly with the higher ages.

Therefore, the event sucked balls, please pass that on that the events should allow all ages to participate fairly and competitively. This event was clearly not!

Anyway, if you got 1st position in your group at the event, you just got the boring reward.

Lucky for you then that you've had no pass buyers in your groups on those occasions. When they are in the group and completing goals as actively as non-buyers, there's no way to catch them. Having this in something framed as a competitive ladder is a complete sham.

I probably didn't have pass buyers in my group wins on the first 2, but I think I did OK being placed 34 global without a pass.
