The "Marco Zoom"

I believe that the "Marco Zoom" is the most annoying aspect of the entire game. I find it even more annoying than the occasional disconnect, disastrous though they can sometimes be. I can possibly see a reason to zoom to Marco when he first arrives each Friday, but... every time you open the game? It's completely unnecessary. We already know what Marco has, we checked it the first time it zoomed to him to see if he had any troop chests. There is *no reason at all* to zoom after the initial arrival.

I suspect that this feature is universally reviled. If you don't hate this feature, please let us know why. I'd be genuinely curious to know why you feel that way.

Oh, and give us some troop chests or something similar please. Marco's pretty lame without them, as my alliance gate and command post full of rubies can attest to.

First time you open the game on the weekend, I'm fine with the zoom, but every freakin time you log in is extremely annoying.

And to make it worse Marco no longer offers troop chests...or ANY chests anymore. Dont count on chests coming back. Marco was always a scam from the get go designed to get us addicted to troop cards so they can sell them later. Just like your neighborhood drug dealing crackhead.

And the fireworks and whistling doesnt alert you?. One or the other but both is just plain stupid. The audio cue is just fine but forcing the view to Marco even once is pure pay 2 play bullshite.

Maybe they could fix it so that you could acknowledge his arrival once he appears and then it wouldn’t zoom. Like tap him and he catches fire or something.

Better yet just fix it by not zooming all. The damn fireworks going off is plenty to grab your attention along with his bloody mugshot on screen.

The original historic Marco was a great trader and offered fair trades in many exotic goods. Nexon‘ s Marco? Not so much. I thought the game was trying to respect history, with all the background text they offer on every character in the game why mis-represent Marco?

Couldn't agree more with this thread. The zoom is extremely annoying. And its a constant reminder of how much marco sucks every time I log in.

I wouldn't exactly say "I like it", I'm actually indifferent towards this feature. When the Travelling Merchant first arrives it's useful, so as to be informed on his arrival.

I can't say this zoom annoys me, there much more important things that trouble me about Marco Polo, such as his joke of offers

Agreed it's not a first world problem but it's like trying to type while your cat wants a cuddle. Just mildly distracting but at the same time you can do without it.

The camera movement may be due to the industrial-strength magnets that he's got in the bottom of his satchels and crates.

I can check again to see if he has a buyer yet for those camera pulling magnets.

That would be much appreciated. And please ask this buyer to burn those magnets to dust, flush the ashes down the toilet, and then dump that toilet and ashes into a black hole where they'll be ripped to their component particles, never to be heard from again.
