Cannot complete directive research at drone base

I cannot complete directive research without loosing connection to the game. The moment I click the button to complete the research I get a network error that resets to the login splash screen.

This is either tied to the new -10% directive research time or a bug where my Tesla chest and directive research are trying to complete at the same time. Has been multiple days since this bug was reported in the in game chat and cannot complete either of these researches. Perhaps this is just an IOS bug?

I was able to collect my researches after the update pushed today. Hopefully this was meant to fix the issue.
