War Attacks - 100% Victory Edit

Hello everyone and fellow players,
I am a longtime player of the game who generally stays off the message boards, but I feel fairly passionate about this idea.
As many of you will recognize my name, I am a defensive player for a top alliance. Full disclosure, I am not suggesting this idea to upset anyone by any means. I hope this creates a dialogue in how we can change one small aspect of attacks in War.
I generally have no problem with how war attacks are won, except one small part. We (all my fellow meat shields), as defenders, have spent countless hours upgrading our individual defensive units to provide the biggest resistance, only to have them (some of the time) not even be utilized due to the type of attack on the defending base. Oftentimes I am cleared by Bombers and Fighters with dozens and dozens of troops still alive on the battlefield.
Here lies my suggestion: For 100% victory on a War Attack, ALL TROOPS must cleared as well.
Rather simple, in my opinion, after all, aren't my troops part of my overall base? I know this will probably not go over well with all of the current players, and I hope it can be a talking point going forward.
Just my 2 cents.

Defenders are greedy. They always say they're at a disadvantage. You guys keep destroying the balance of the game.

Interesting idea. Maybe combined with a longer battle timer ? +15 secs for example?

I don't know, its a big change so needs a lot of thought about 🤔

As a defender I say 15 seconds would not be enough. Most time I am beaten for a 5 star it is cause they hit with FSH and Hanger so yea they can 5 star me but come no where near to killing my maxed out defenders.

This idea of killing all ground troops would total unbalance game and is just simply not fair. Two wrongs don’t make a right just cause of FSH is an unbalance doesn’t mean over correcting to extreme where 95% of attackers would stand zero chance to 5 star a base.

I understand frustration of defenders as I am one. But this would be unfair and probably make for a very boring game.

It's like searching for tiny gold piles that prevent a 100% victory—now we have to locate hidden defenders who might be far from our attacking troops. There's just not enough time for this kind of task, I'm afraid.

Blah Offense players are always wanting an I win cause I spent and got FSH. So it goes both ways. But as a defender I say killing all troops for 100% would be unfair.

I agree with that. Those gold piles are kind of ridiculous to have to clear when they are so hard to find. Having to clear all defenders would make for an incredibly unbalanced game. As it is offensive players are having a tough time and quitting or selling accounts, people would quit in even greater numbers than they are now. It would ruin the game .

Of course defenders should be killed. Duh
That's what planes are for - and for finding those last few gold piles.

Wait, you don't have to kill all defenders in war to get a 100% victory? Then it's not a 100% victory.
Of course defenders should be killed. Duh
That's what planes are for - and for finding those last few gold piles.
Brother we agree on most things but this would be impossible for strikers to do in war battle 100% on all buildings is enough unless time is majorly increased like to the 5 minute mark

Nah my spawn time is high and everything I have is maxed so they hit me FSH and Hanger the air units are what kills my base I most of time have killed all their ground troops with my defense but can’t stop the extra air slots and TT space but forcing them to kill all my defenders in addition to my base would really hard for very top strikers to kill me. So it goes back to what I said earlier two wrongs don’t make a right. But I understand the frustration on D side seeing sometime 100s of troops still standing

I keep seeing posts like "make defense viable again, attackers are clearing bases in under 2 mins" - sounds like there's plenty of time left for planes to 'mop up'
But, if a de facto victory is as good then l propose the game should have a new mechanic: don't kill all the citizens. You get to sell them as slaves to fight in gladiatorial battles on other bases.
Makes as much sense as having a total victory without actually having a total victory, right? 😄

I doubt OP wants 2 wrongs to make a right, sounds like he just wants it to make sense.
