Upgrading to new age

At what point do you consider moving to the next age? I know everyone has their own way of doing things.
Currently, I am Global age lvl 202. Usually I tend to move up once i get my defense all upgraded. All I have left is a few traps to upgrade. I keep telling myself that I'm gonna do some more university research before going atomic, But I get impatient.

Wait for the upcoming rush week, where the upgrade to atomic will be 50% off (and hopefully instant if this week's rush is any indicator). My general rule is that my offense is maxed, and my defense is max-1, but with this sale I will be jumping a little early.

I have been eye balling that sale coming up. On top of being impatient, I'm also indecisive lol. I actually thought about upgrading everything before moving up. But I doubt that will happen.

i would just knock out as much research as you can until the instant upgrade event.

I'll move when max offense and core defense. Other defense can be upgrade on long way play.

I think it is wise to upgrade after all your offense is upgraded + all important defense is upgraded for the current age such as tank depot, sniper towers, traps etc.

A new house in AA will help you progress. If you are 202 lvl, that is surly enough to advance to AA.

Absent a special event that makes it tempting to advance early, I want maxed offense upgrades, and at least 1 of each type of defensive building maxed. If I could do it over, I would also do more university research before advancing, particularly the defensive skills. On my second account I am forcing myself to do this by maxing Sejong in each age (I chose him because he has the best capstone). I have had all my citizens at university for a few months now.

Going from Global to Atomic, I'd say update what you can now (University, Walls, etc...) and then wait for the Global Rush (8/29 - 9/5). The Town Center will be 50% off, and upgrade instantly to Atomic Age!

In order to upgrade from GA to AA you need to upgrade your TC in Global Age Rush or in Atomic Age Rush?

Sejong is my focus in the university as well. I'm 54/100 so far.

Will this be a true 'instant' upgrade? Meaning, does it still require that I have a certain number of citizens free? I just want to know if I can leave all of my citizens in the university and still 'instantly' upgrade to the next age.

Hyhyhy - to upgrade from Global to Atomic, you'll be upgrading during the Global Rush week (8/25 - 9-5). The Atomic Age rush will only include Buildings and Troops in that Age.

Kid G - Instantly upgrading the Town Center works the same way it currently works for walls. You will need the correct number of citizens free (as well as resources), but the upgrade takes no time at all!

I upgraded to IA at lv 84, GA at lv 130 AA at lv 152
And I never experienced any difficulty in protecting my resource.

I would say once your Armory item done (Shooter / Tank / Supply Cart / Artillery / Fighter )
You should upgrade
