For my own part, I've chosen to give them a few weeks. I'm in the software industry-- you do NOT want them deploying changes as soon as it compiles.
I'm 'sticking it out' at Medieval, so I don't have to bother with attacks from cheating high-level players (what cheater with infinite resources is going to stick around at 'Gunpowder' level?). I'm getting decent income raiding in the 500-700 trophy range and I rarely have downtime that lasts more than a few minutes between fights. (Troop comp is 10-11 heavy cavs, 4 raiders, mix-and-match archers and infantry fillers and a general primarily on cleanup detail so she's not out of action for 24 hours)
After the recent gods-awful AI patch, I have had to seriously rethink HOW and WHO I raid, but in many cases troop pathing can still be predicted to some degree.
Don't get me wrong-- I refuse to spend any more money with BHG until they fix several things to my satisfaction (primarily the cheating and the AI), but I am willing to endure the game itself a bit longer.
