Troop Slowdown

What causes the troops to move at a slower speed when attacking an enemies base during a regular battle? The enemy showed to have "0" blessings.

Caltrops? Versailles? Versailles's effect stays even after it's destroyed.
Or do you mean for the entire battle?

The entire battle. The entire map had my troops moving in slow motion. This is now the 2nd time within 1 week. The Versailles only effects you if you are within the radius? I know that the caltrops are a temporary effect and I checked the replay to make sure that I was not continuously walking through them.

Lag? Do the enemies move slowly as well and is your input delayed?

I am actually just watching the attack unfold, after all my troops have been deployed and can see the troops moving at a slower pace than normal.
I can handle the lag with a few steps on my tablet, this is something different.
I am just going to attribute it to the Versailles wonder and keep a better watch of my troops while attacking.
