Question re: Protect

Question: is it possible to get Protect feature without using Protect tactic?

I just saw an opponent attack one of my teammates and his forces had Protect on them, but when looking at end of battle summary it did not show Protect tactic used; only Betrayals and Decoys.

Any insight appreciated!

Which troops had the protect tactic applied to them?

Units spawning from APCs gain protect with the Radid Deployment Radio munition applied.

Yep, APCs.

Could have been troops from APC's. Replay is now gone as we just started a new War.
