@King Crimson That's not really true... but I do think there's logic to us fixing the loudest wheels first, as they bother the largest group of folks the most. Why would we not want this? 🤔
Too long, did read: a very sensible reply to all of us. But, on this one point about logic. It's only logical if the loudest complainers = the largest number of affected players - not the largest number of complaints. One screwed up heli range bug is a good example. It's broken but there's not enough players affected by it to get it fixed. I suspect if mortars or artillery had the same issue it'd be fixed in a matter of weeks.
I actually agree that people should advise CS about bugs - the argument "if you don't know, I'm not going to tell you" or "I made a complaint and I didn't get the answer I want" is childish and doesn't help anyone, least of all the people affected.

@nobodyknowsthetrouble How do you know? It sounds like you're assuming we got a large number of detailed and high value tickets. Are you aware of how many tickets we got for each of those issues, or are you just speculating based on the number you think got submitted? Often we don't get nearly the volume one might assume, or the tickets we do get consist of "I'm angry that I got an error" and that's all we hear from that person. 😅 - but at least they submitted a ticket! With that we know that one more person is affected, and we can grab their base ID and often times even that is enough to help us narrow down the issue.

I'm not saying that we're perfect or that we always fix everything. You are 100% welcome to avoid submitting tickets because you are fatigued, you think it's pointless, or any number of other reasons. I'm here to tell you that the more tickets we get, the more folks we assume are affected, and the higher priority that issue becomes. It's as simple as that. This feels logical to me - does anyone have a better suggestion for how we handle things? I'm genuinely all ears.

Maybe that's because 90% of the related tickets we get every single day for network disconnects are resolved with those fixes. 😁 Have you considered that we might share that info for a reason? I'm looking at the tickets on this end, and if you'd like to also I'd be happy to review your application! While it can be true that 100% of the network disconnect tickets you submit are not fixed by these steps, it can also be true (and it is) that 90% of folks who write in about it the same day are all fixed with one of those suggestions. Just because you hit a disconnect for one reason, even if you get the same exact error code, that doesn't mean every other person is hitting it for the same reason. Folks hit issues for a variety of reasons and just because they look the same to you does not mean they have the same exact root cause.

Listen guys, it's not like I'm sitting here begging you to submit tickets... I'm just letting you in on our process for assessing the priority of live issues like these. Provide as much info as you can and submit tickets when you are able - or don't and wait for us to figure it out on our own - or wait for enough of your peers to do the work for you. (because plenty of them are willing and submit very helpful tickets which aid us in fixing issues quicker.)

I'm not upset that you don't want to be a part of the solution, and I want to recognize the fact that your experiences are super valid. I imagine you're tired of submitting tickets and not feeling like it has had any positive impact over the years. This game has been out for almost 11 years, so I definitely can't speak for everything that has happened in the past. All I ask is this: please do not suggest to others that it is pointless to submit tickets - it is one of the most helpful things for us that regularly improves fix times by a significant margin~ ❤️
Thank you very much for this very detailed answer.

I don't intend to forbid anyone from writing tickets. I'm just saying that, in my experience, it's rarely helpful for general problems.
In my experience, support is only helpful for individual problems, e.g., failed purchases, missing items, etc.

I specifically chose examples of very general (albeit long-term) errors. No tricky edge cases. General errors. Which probably affect everyone.
I avoid using generals in multiplayer, as network errors/retraining sometimes render them unusable for 24 hours.
If the game crashes during combat, my composition of troops and tactics is lost; retrain is not possible. Everything has to be trained individually. Even with the Tactics Blessing, this takes 18 minutes or costs crowns. Generals need either 24 hours or many crowns to become available again. In the past, support has sometimes offered a 1-hour Retrain Blessing as compensation. Even though the blessing isn't bad in general, it doesn't solve the problem. And I'm sure you've had quite a few tickets like this over the years. With the avoidance strategy, in the case of a crash/network error, I only lose a few aircraft and ground troops, which can be restored in 2 minutes.

I avoid using aircraft on the left edge, as they fly in uncontrolled loops.
Since the map was expanded, the left edges have become deadly trap for aircraft. I'm pretty sure there were a few tickets about this over the first months after this update. Nevertheless, the only "solution" so far is this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dominations/comments/hcvk63 . Apart from the cyan fields in front of the museum, nothing has been fixed. The picture is still relevant. After 5 years, I have a similar layout on one of the 3 slots and am trying to teach new players at least the basics via the limited in-game chat, because not everyone uses Discord or other external chats. They probably won't write a ticket about it anymore, but the problem still exists. By the way, when you build your first plane, the advisor says that the planes come from the nearest edge. This has been incorrect for (at least) 5 years. This only applied to the old small map.

I avoid looking at the defense log or inventory, because the automatic focus on the inbox is extremely annoying.
Some days the game jumps to the inbox more often, sometimes less often. It doesn't change every day. But over the summer, for example, we noticed that you were making some changes in the background, as some weeks were better than others. However, the focus on the inbox is not because there are new messages there; it's the same old texts that have been there for many weeks or months. It doesn't matter whether I'm scrolling through the defense log or just looking at it. The focus on the inbox correlates with the snc/v1/users/[userid]/batch-enc packets in the network. However, there is no feedback about the focus change in the traffic, so it doesn't help you to have a ticket with a player ID; you can't see any more than I'm telling you. Furthermore, I consider this to be a general problem, as it occurs in different accounts in different alliances, at different locations with different networks, on different platforms with different devices. It doesn't break the game, but it is annoying. My personal solution is therefore to only look at the defense log once a week.

if you'd like to also I'd be happy to review your application!
Before applying for a job in support, I'd rather do some volunteer work to fix one of the long-term bugs, such as university speedup or airplane paths. ;-)

To get back to the actual topic:
Place your 8 trees next to each other. Use one finger to select the tree and another to select “Gather” at the bottom center. Tap your fingers quickly in an alternating pattern to quickly get 420. This also works with the mouse in Domiworld.

Dominations does not load completely in the browser when the window is in the background. For example, when I start the game, I see the loading screen (first black with the bhg logo, then the Dominations logo with two heads on the left and right). If I open the forum in full screen in a second window while this is happening, the game does not load 100%.
If there is nothing new in the forum and I return to the game “quickly,” the rest loads and I end up in the base or in the Marco Polo pop-up.
However, if it takes me longer to bring the game back to the foreground, the screen loads up to marco polo, but it is overlaid with a 420. Trying again, pressing F5, or even ctrl+f5 always brings up the 420 error again. Only 1-2 minutes later can I enter the game without any errors. This is certainly a false positive, but it is reproducible. Perhaps it has something to do with an expired session ID or something similar.
This can largely be avoided if the forum is not opened in full screen mode, but only in a large window.

Until yesterday, the problem had almost disappeared.
Today, it happened twice while watching the four videos, and then the error blocked the reload for at least two minutes.
So now I'm blocked from the game because I watch the ads? You guys have taken another adjustment in the wrong direction. @Davis - The Emissary

@nobodyknowsthetrouble How important would you say each one of these is to you, on a scale from 1-10?

@nobodyknowsthetrouble How important would you say each one of these is to you, on a scale from 1-10?
10 important, 1 less important, right? I think everyone will rate this differently, but for me it's as follows:
Aircraft paths get an 8 because it affects every battle and layouts actively exploit this bug. It's not a 10 because it doesn't cause freezes/crashes/network errors.

University speedups are a 7. As with many veterans, I have completed university in my main account. But many of my allied have not. They lose 10-15 hours of speedups almost every day. That quickly adds up to a huge disadvantage.

Network error 420? Depends on the day. First, a high value. Then, after your adjustments, in the last few days until Monday, I would have given it a 2 because we hardly encountered it anymore, it seemed almost solved (from the player's point of view, but maybe on your end, the anti-cheat no longer delivered the desired results; I can't evaluate that). Since Tuesday, it's a 7, as it's occurring much more frequently again. I'm glad that it's only disconnecting for now and hasn't occurred in battles yet; that alone would probably be a 3 or 4. However, I fear that in the long run, this will lead to unjustified bans if you rely on the system at some point; hence the higher priority.

I would rate the unwanted focus on the inbox as a 4. It's extremely annoying because it leads to misclicks and renders the defense log unusable. This leads to strange situations where I see two lines in the log with crowns&LRR, claiming the top one and the focus jumping to the inbox. When I return to the defense log, the bottom line is also gone, or there is nothing left to collect. I don't use a permanent screen recording to prove it. However, I don't value the lost LRR or the three crowns enough to give it higher priority.
Even if it has low priority, you could quickly create a workaround: just delete the old messages. I really don't need a reminder that I was kicked out of an alliance 500 days ago. And most alliance emails are no longer relevant after 90 days. If sorting by date is too complicated, just delete them all, as you've done with chat messages several times before.

Retrain is actually only a 2 for me personally, as I have enough accounts to keep myself busy elsewhere or to suspend an attack. Allied single-account players would certainly rate it higher.

For comparison: I would rate translation errors and just visual errors like the pink pixels as a 1.

How do you not have stats on how often you return a 420 error? This is software engineering 101…

I can tell you from my experiences it must be A LOT. Just go back to level 1 and upgrade your walls. If you try upgrade a section of wall more than 3-4 times in a row you get the 420 error.

Hi folks.

We're aware players are still hitting issues here. The network error 420 is a direct result of our security system that will need to be adjusted over time. We are continuously tweaking things on our end as a direct response to reports, and have resolved some causes already.

If you are willing to submit a ticket, please note which error you hit and the exact steps you took prior to hitting the error. This is incredibly helpful for us. CS will let you know we're investigating and should thank you for your report. After that you can feel free to close your ticket.

Thanks a bunch~
