Hello. Can anyone share a defensive layout for PvP in Global Age? I have all the defenses, including the fifth anti-tank gun, the fifth mortar, and the third bunker. I also have the Acropolis, the Forbidden City, Angkor Wat, and the Kremlin.
I'm playing League of Kingdoms and need an effective defensive layout.
Thanks!
1. Fundamental Architecture: "Cells" and Radar
•
Compartmentalization: Do not build one large square of walls. The current meta-strategy requires building
multiple small cells or chambers. This forces enemy Commandos and Wall Breachers to break through several layers of walls, significantly delaying their progress.
•
The Radar Bonus: Ensure your defensive towers are
connected to your road network. This activates the
Radar library research bonus, which can make your towers as powerful as those from an age and a half ahead of your current level.
2. Strategic Wonder Synergy
Your chosen wonders are excellent for a defensive build when placed correctly:
•
The Acropolis: This should be the heart of your base. Ensure that your
Bunkers, Garrisons, and Stables are within its radius to maximize the spawn speed of defensive troops.
•
The Forbidden City: Place this in a
separate walled compartment far away from your main Town Center. Since it acts as a second Town Center, this forces the attacker to destroy two distant targets to earn the "Quick Victory" star.
•
Angkor Wat: This wonder
heals nearby defenders during an attack. Position it near your Bunkers or the Acropolis to keep your defensive tanks alive longer under fire.
•
The Kremlin: Use the Kremlin to
strengthen your internal walls and generate additional defenders when attacked, reinforcing your core.
3. Defensive Building Optimization
With the full defenses allowed in the Global Age, focus on these placements:
•
Missile Silo: Hide your silo
deep inside the base, surrounded by air defenses and sniper towers. This prevents attackers from easily neutralizing it with paratroopers or sabotage tactics.
•
The Third Bunker: Since you have three bunkers, spread them so their
activation radii overlap. This ensures a constant stream of heavy tanks is deployed regardless of where the enemy attacks.
•
Anti-Tank Guns and Mortars: Distribute your mortars to cover large areas of the base to stop "Lego" (infantry-heavy) attacks. Place your
Anti-Tank Guns behind walls but with clear sightlines to intercept invading Heavy Tanks.
•
Bastions: Place these in
high foot-traffic areas. They deal significant splash damage to groups of infantry trying to breach your walls.
4. The "Looted Resource Refund" Strategy (Museum)
For effective PvP, the sources highlight a "game-changing" Museum statistic:
Looted Resource Refund.
• If you reach the
85% cap in your Museum (and supplement it with Council bonuses), you can potentially recover 100% of the resources stolen by attackers.
• This allows you to create more "open" designs that lure attackers into trap-heavy areas near your Town Center to earn
free crowns for killing their troops, without actually losing any gold or food.
