DomiNations Update 13.4 - Coalition Combat Rebalance

DOM_SM_3_3_26_Update_13_4_EN_1920x1080.png

Greetings Leaders,

The time has arrived for a massive Coalition overhaul. Each and every Coalition has been updated to leverage new strategies and better synergize with your Detachments. We’re also rounding out update 13.4 with Glory Decay changes and quality-of-life enhancements. Read on to find out more!

World War Temporary Outage 3/7 - 3/9
To prepare for our update, we will be suspending World War from 10 am ET on 3/7 to 3/9. This will give time to clear out any active wars before the update and ensure all players are on the same version of the game.

Combat Rebalance Initiative - Coalitions Update
Throughout February, we’ve been slowly revealing upcoming changes to Coalitions. We’re better aligning Coalitions with what’s currently available in DomiNations and further enhancing the viability of different play styles. This update will replace all previous Coalition Bonuses.

Aztecs
In 13.4 and beyond, the Aztec Coalition will now add immunity to an Attacking Troop if they can survive 15 seconds of battle and increase the amount of damage that Detachment A can dish out!

After 15 seconds of a non-plane attacker’s lifetime, they gain the ability to ignore 1 hit of damage (maximum of 2 stacks per unit).
LevelBonus
1Detachment A deals +12% DMG
2Detachment A deals +15% DMG
3Detachment A deals +18% DMG
4Detachment A deals +21% DMG
5Detachment A deals +24% DMG
6Detachment A deals +26% DMG
7Detachment A deals +28% DMG
8Detachment A deals +30% DMG

Egyptians
The Egyptian Coalition continues to focus on improving the strength of buildings that shoot attackers (excluding Traps).

All damage-dealing defensive buildings have +1 Range

7Shooting buildings deal +28% DMG
8Shooting buildings deal +30% DMG

Mongols
The Mongol Coalition has been a major talking point when reviewing Coalitions; it should come as no surprise that this Coalition has also undergone a change. The Mongols' bonus increases attack power for Troops that stick together, providing an additional incentive to take advantage of the Detachment bonuses this and other Coalitions can offer.

All attackers within 3 range of another attacker get a damage increase of +0.3% stacking up to +30% for each nearby attacker.
LevelBonus
1Detachment C has +8% Attack Speed
2Detachment C has +9% Attack Speed
3Detachment C has +10% Attack Speed

5Detachment C has +12% Attack Speed
6Detachment C has +13% Attack Speed
7Detachment C has +14% Attack Speed
8Detachment C has +15% Attack Speed

Maori
The Maori Coalition remains a defensive Coalition. With their new benefit, defender spawns will bring an additional Ranged Infantry Defender that doesn’t count toward the maximum defenders that you can have on the field!

All Ranged Infantry defenders in 13.4 will see a 0.5 range increase, regardless of whether the Maori Coalition is added to your army. This is to better align with their attacking counterpart.

Tank Depots, Garrisons & Bunkers deploy 1 Ranged Infantry Defender each wave.
LevelBonus
1Defenders deal +12% DMG
2Defenders deal +15% DMG
3Defenders deal +18% DMG
4Defenders deal +21% DMG
5Defenders deal +24% DMG
6Defenders deal +26% DMG
7Defenders deal +28% DMG
8Defenders deal +30% DMG

Cherokee
With the new offensive bonuses from the Cherokee Coalition, the longer your troops remain in combat, the more damage they can dish out! With that in mind, you may want to take advantage of this Coalition’s bonus for Detachment B, as it will increase the HP of all the Troops included in it.

When your attackers receive damage, the damage they deal increases by +0.3% stacking up to +30%.
LevelBonus
1Detachment B has +12% HP
2Detachment B has +15% HP
3Detachment B has +18% HP
4Detachment B has +21% HP
5Detachment B has +24% HP
6Detachment B has +26% HP
7Detachment B has +28% HP
8Detachment B has +30% HP

Indians
If you’re focused on bolstering your defenses, the Indian Coalition can certainly help with that! Your buildings that shoot attackers (excluding Traps) will deal a massive burst of additional damage periodically throughout your battles.

Shooting buildings deal +100% damage once every 6 seconds.
LevelBonus
1Shooting Buildings have +12% HP
2Shooting Buildings have +15% HP
3Shooting Buildings have +18% HP
4Shooting Buildings have +21% HP
5Shooting Buildings have +24% HP
6Shooting Buildings have +26% HP
7Shooting Buildings have +28% HP
8Shooting Buildings have +30% HP

Americans
The American Coalition will no longer strictly benefit Airstrip Troops and will now expand to all Attackers. This includes attackers spawned from other units and Troop Tactics! They also increase the movement speed of your non-plane attackers that aren’t in a detachment!

When an attacker destroys a defender, it gains +0.5% DMG. When an attacker destroys a defensive building, it gains +3% DMG. These bonuses stack up to +30% in total.
LevelBonus
1Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +8% faster
2Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +9% faster
3Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +10% faster
4Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +11% faster

6Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +13% faster
7Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +14% faster
8Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +15% faster

Russians
The Russian Coalition now focuses on Defender-spawning buildings. This Coalition will now add a stationary cannon defender to the first defender spawn wave. This additional Defender will benefit from Defender Damage bonuses and Munitions applied to Ranged Siege.

Stables, Garrisons, Bunkers & Rocket Arsenals deploy 1 stationary Cannon defender in their first wave.
LevelBonus
1Defenders have +12% HP
2Defenders have +15% HP
3Defenders have +18% HP
4Defenders have +21% HP

Ethiopians
The Ethiopian Coalition offers a mixture of attack and defense benefits, and adds the unique bonus of disabling traps. Having a Commander near your allied Troops and Buildings will increase their damage output too! It’s important to note that this Coalition can no longer be picked up on War Day.

When attacking, the first Trap of each type that would be triggered is instead disabled for the entire battle.
LevelBonus
1When your attacking troops, defenders and shooting buildings are within range 4 of your Commander, they deal +6% DMG
2When your attacking troops, defenders and shooting buildings are within range 4 of your Commander, they deal +8% DMG

7When your attacking troops, defenders and shooting buildings are within range 4 of your Commander, they deal +18% DMG
8When your attacking troops, defenders and shooting buildings are within range 4 of your Commander, they deal +20% DMG

Filipinos
The Filipino Coalition benefits both attacking and defending Troops, and makes traps more potent. You’d benefit greatly by keeping your Commander near your Troops and Buildings, too, as allied Troops within the Commander’s proximity will take reduced damage.

When Defending, damage dealing Traps are rearmed 45 seconds after being triggered.
LevelBonus
1When your attacking troops, defenders and shooting buildings are within range 4 of your Commander, they take -6% DMG
2When your attacking troops, defenders and shooting buildings are within range 4 of your Commander, they take -8% DMG

Glory Decay Update
For update 13.4, we’re making adjustments to the Glory Decay system within Tournament of Glory. Alliances from Established to Iconic Division will now only see a decay of two stars below their current rank and will never decay below their current Division.

Alliances within the Triumphant Division will not be affected by these changes. An Alliance can still be demoted to a lower Division from all other means.

New Legendary Artifacts & Mythical Artifacts
New Legendary Artifacts and 8 Mythical Artifacts are on the way to DomiNations! You’ll start to see news on these Artifacts and their stat bonuses around late spring, early summer.

Quality of Life Updates

Spying Update
Since the addition of Councilors and Manufactory Munitions, the demand for us to update Spying in World War has increased, and rightfully so! We’re happy to share that with this update, you’ll not only be able to view the most up-to-date information regarding the Library and University, but also what Munitions your enemies have equipped, and their Council Chambers!

Replay Updates
Our next pass at Replays has been focused on stability and backend improvements. We’ve implemented tooling for our replay system to better identify spawn locations of certain units. Going forward, our replay tweaks and updates will be more incremental as we continue to fine-tune the accuracy. Although this update probably won’t be impactful to most players, we wanted to update you on the progress we’re making.

See Troops Brought to Battle

To further support your post-battle analysis, we’re also introducing an updated post-battle screen. When reviewing post-battle information, you’ll see two tabs above the Troops lost. One will show Troops lost as usual, but the other will show ‘Troops Brought Into Battle’.

IMG_0119.png

This addition can help you better understand your opponent’s strategies and see how you might put together your own army in future battles!

Additional Updates
  • Fixed an issue where the Troop Tactics window would ‘jump’ to another position after making a selection that would use all of a current Troop Tactic.
    • The scroll position of the Troop Tactic menu should now remain in place after making a selection.
  • Fixed an issue where the First Aid Duration stat of the Fire Breathing Bunny Fossil Legendary Artifact wasn’t taking effect.
  • Fixed an issue where Attack Helicopters would reposition themselves after their first rocket.
  • Fixed an issue where simultaneous donations on the last of a Troop Request would result in one donation going through, and others would lose resources.
    • Going forward in this scenario, one donation will be accepted, and the rest will see their resources returned.
  • Library research ‘Fully Loaded Offense’ Chapter 3 will now apply correctly to Airstrip Troops.
    • Information window for these troops will also reflect the updated stat totals if they meet the requirements.
Edit: We've just added an update to 13.4 where players can now use the effects of Coaltions in Friendly Challenges!

Update 3/10/26: Due to a delay in the submission process, we will need to extend the suspension of World War matchmaking. We will reactivate World War matchmaking after the 13.4 force update is available to all players and platforms.

Update 3/11/26: The fix for simultaneous donations failed our QA process and will not be included in the 13.4 Update. The delay in our submission review was not caused by this; the fix was removed prior to our submission. We hope to implement this fix in a future update.

We appreciate everyone's excitement to play the latest update, and understand how anxious folks are as they anticipate the release date.

As always, we planned to force-update on a specific day, and we shared the intended release window in our update notes, but we can only follow through if the submission isn't delayed. Submission typically takes up to 48 hours, and while we're beyond that, it's not something we can directly control.

Fortunately, DomiNations is still playable; you can still progress and raid bases. World War will remain off until we can push out the update. The update will be released as soon as we are able to do so.
Thanks for the update.

Thank you for this update, much appreciated,

Gracias

A brief explanation of what i believe wise is saying and please correct if i am Wrong. When a developer submits an update it has to go through a quality check with Google and Apple. The first submission failed the quality check and so they had to go back and take out the planned update regarding troop donation.

They have since resubmitted the update and is currently going through another quality check which they claim normally takes 24-48hrs. If this check passes they can the start rolling out the update.

I think this is what wise said and as such, is beyond their control.

Are yiu kidding me? Excited to play the update? How stupid do you think we are? Or are you that ignorant?

So it's beyond the 48h because you probably changed to much of the core play that Apple and others are not approving it. It's a huge liability for for them if you change core play and had thousands of players pay real money on the game. That's unacceptable to them. You get it? You overhaul a major part of gameplay with no bete testing. And hoping it will go unnoticed.

Please turn on war in the meantime. Why does it have to stay off? Please.

Excitement? Are you kidding?

It's frustration, most people feel it.

They're not releasing an update that seems like it was bought from TEMU; it arrives with fixes and a bug in automatic donations; who knows what other bugs there are.

If they've already released the update for Android and iOS, it doesn't make sense that there isn't even an approximate date, just copy-paste answers to players' questions.
Really hope someone comes to your work with same love you just showed The Wise.

He is trying to give an update and he responded. Chillax the update will come and BHG will more than likely be able to fix everything folks have lost because of delay.

Respect he responded and chill no need for further bashing them.

It is beyond their control because they choose to gamble. They didn't plan ahead. See https://forums.bighugegames.com/ind...-coalition-combat-rebalance.48659/post-227917

Some players complain about this update, others are supportive because now 'there are more strategy's' possible...
Can't we just agree that they keep creating something first and later partially undo this again? And they repeat this mistake a several times, because they're still not testing out effects of changes that come to their minds while brainstorming...? The whole evolution of a game should be a movement to a certain direction instead of forwards, to the left, backwards and let's make a right again; no wonder players are complaining. It's not merely about the core of this particular update, it's much more. That's just a fact.

Parent company has just abandonned Dominations. Look at the absolutely lazy and ridiculous new levels on the Parliament for example. They are just keeping people busy… Be careful with Nexon’s new games though, they will do the same in a few years.

Why dont we leave the factory making platinum for todat and go outside to touch some grass? I get that thingd happen but is just a game...

Jesus, chill bro, as stated "this post is written with the twinkle in the eye for the love of the game.". Just tryin to lighten the mood. I think the devs / testers are self-aware enough to be able to take a humorous post based on the history...
Yep…and given that we’re all waiting around here for news…a sense of humour is exactly what we need

Next time maybe manage people's expectations by not giving the expected dates, just let them know it's progressing. Granted it probably won't stop the complainers - as seen by the complaints since your explanation - but at least they can't complain "hey, you said ... "
Or maybe not - you never know with these players. 😁

We know you’ve been eagerly awaiting the next update, and we do understand the growing impatience. But trust us—this delay is actually a strategic decision that will make the final product even more worth your while.

You see, after each release, we’ve noticed something curious: we fix one bug, and in the process, we create five more. It’s like the game just can’t get enough of them. Bugs are like those tiny, annoying pets that just keep multiplying no matter how hard you try to get rid of them. But we’ve decided—why fight it? Instead, we’re embracing the chaos. Every bug is a tiny digital gem, adding a unique touch to the gameplay experience.

And so, while we know you’re wondering, “Where’s the update? What’s taking so long?”—the truth is, we’ve been taking this extra time to refine our bug-handling process. We’ve entered a phase of intentional bug generation—no longer are we randomly fixing things. Instead, we’re choosing to introduce new bugs in the most creative ways possible. It’s like an art form. A very glitchy, unpredictable art form, but art nonetheless.

Our dev team has worked hard to ensure that each bug adds a special flair to your gameplay. Some might even argue that the game is better with the bugs. A few extra crashes here, a couple of strange graphical distortions there—who needs flawless gameplay when you can have character? In fact, we’re considering adding a new feature to the game called “Bug Randomizer™” to give every playthrough its own unique set of surprises.

Now, about the pause in main gameplay—while we’ve been working tirelessly on this update, we’ve realized something important: sometimes, you need to let the game breathe. Let it live. Give it some space to evolve. You can’t rush perfection… especially when perfection is defined by the amount of chaos we manage to introduce with every patch.

Rest assured, this delay is all part of a bigger, beautiful plan. We’re adding more content, fixing some things (we think), and most importantly, making sure the bugs feel more like features than problems. And, of course, we’ll be double-checking every little detail—because sometimes the bugs are just too beautiful to fix.

So, please bear with us! We’re not just building an update; we’re building an experience. The kind of experience where every click might trigger a new, unexpected adventure. What’s a game without a few bugs anyway? A very boring game, that’s what.

Thanks for your infinite patience (and for understanding that the bugs are part of the charm). We’re almost there… we think. Just a few more tests, a couple more bugs to lovingly nurture into existence, and soon™ you’ll get to enjoy the fruits of our chaos.

I am not affiliated with BHG and this post is written with the twinkle in the eye for the love of the game.
Hahaha, what a good joke! Of course, patience isn't infinite. It's always the same inefficiency. I stopped playing this game twice at different times, and nothing has changed. It's always the same incompetence and lack of predictability. They seem like eternal novices who never learn from their own mistakes, both in communication and in the game itself. As long as there are players buying things with real money, everything flows. Patience isn't infinite, and it shows when they take people for fools. I'm writing this just to clarify things for some naive people. Like me, there are several who don't even bother about this anymore because I know how they are, but open your eyes, look at where you spend your money and what your user/game experience is like. There are many very, very good games; this isn't the only one worth marrying... :)

One of the issues is more about what, how, and when information is communicated, or rather, it wasn’t communicated.
A downtime of only 2 days was announced. Was that realistic?
It was announced that the war search would be shut down on Saturday. That didn’t happen. Do you think that was intentional? If so, why was there no information on Friday or Saturday? Do you think a timer or script failed? If so, why was there no announcement on Monday that the update process was being delayed? Someone decided on Monday to disable the search feature.

One of the issues is more about what was planned and how.
In the fall, troop donations were disabled for an update; there were also unplanned delays in the submission process then. So this isn’t an entirely new situation, yet no better strategy was put in place.
e.g. the update for the Parliament went relatively smoothly: we received the new game version, regardless of when and how quickly. The new content was unlocked later. With a strategy like that, the downtime could have been limited to two days.

Dear developers,

If you can let the world wars begin as usual, until the new version is confirmed, there will not be any complaints. Many people play the game for wars, not for farming and raiding. When you reach a certain stage, because of long upgrade times, raiding and farming become useless.
I agree.
People make mistakes when they are in a hurry.
So, how about releasing the update in April or May?
Developing slowly should result in fewer bugs and glitches.
I believe this proposal will benefit both developers and players.
