DomiNations Update 13.4 - Coalition Combat Rebalance

DOM_SM_3_3_26_Update_13_4_EN_1920x1080.png

Greetings Leaders,

The time has arrived for a massive Coalition overhaul. Each and every Coalition has been updated to leverage new strategies and better synergize with your Detachments. We’re also rounding out update 13.4 with Glory Decay changes and quality-of-life enhancements. Read on to find out more!

World War Temporary Outage 3/7 - 3/9
To prepare for our update, we will be suspending World War from 10 am ET on 3/7 to 3/9. This will give time to clear out any active wars before the update and ensure all players are on the same version of the game.

Combat Rebalance Initiative - Coalitions Update
Throughout February, we’ve been slowly revealing upcoming changes to Coalitions. We’re better aligning Coalitions with what’s currently available in DomiNations and further enhancing the viability of different play styles. This update will replace all previous Coalition Bonuses.

Aztecs
In 13.4 and beyond, the Aztec Coalition will now add immunity to an Attacking Troop if they can survive 15 seconds of battle and increase the amount of damage that Detachment A can dish out!

After 15 seconds of a non-plane attacker’s lifetime, they gain the ability to ignore 1 hit of damage (maximum of 2 stacks per unit).
LevelBonus
1Detachment A deals +12% DMG
2Detachment A deals +15% DMG
3Detachment A deals +18% DMG
4Detachment A deals +21% DMG
5Detachment A deals +24% DMG
6Detachment A deals +26% DMG
7Detachment A deals +28% DMG
8Detachment A deals +30% DMG

Egyptians
The Egyptian Coalition continues to focus on improving the strength of buildings that shoot attackers (excluding Traps).

All damage-dealing defensive buildings have +1 Range

7Shooting buildings deal +28% DMG
8Shooting buildings deal +30% DMG

Mongols
The Mongol Coalition has been a major talking point when reviewing Coalitions; it should come as no surprise that this Coalition has also undergone a change. The Mongols' bonus increases attack power for Troops that stick together, providing an additional incentive to take advantage of the Detachment bonuses this and other Coalitions can offer.

All attackers within 3 range of another attacker get a damage increase of +0.3% stacking up to +30% for each nearby attacker.
LevelBonus
1Detachment C has +8% Attack Speed
2Detachment C has +9% Attack Speed
3Detachment C has +10% Attack Speed

5Detachment C has +12% Attack Speed
6Detachment C has +13% Attack Speed
7Detachment C has +14% Attack Speed
8Detachment C has +15% Attack Speed

Maori
The Maori Coalition remains a defensive Coalition. With their new benefit, defender spawns will bring an additional Ranged Infantry Defender that doesn’t count toward the maximum defenders that you can have on the field!

All Ranged Infantry defenders in 13.4 will see a 0.5 range increase, regardless of whether the Maori Coalition is added to your army. This is to better align with their attacking counterpart.

Tank Depots, Garrisons & Bunkers deploy 1 Ranged Infantry Defender each wave.
LevelBonus
1Defenders deal +12% DMG
2Defenders deal +15% DMG
3Defenders deal +18% DMG
4Defenders deal +21% DMG
5Defenders deal +24% DMG
6Defenders deal +26% DMG
7Defenders deal +28% DMG
8Defenders deal +30% DMG

Cherokee
With the new offensive bonuses from the Cherokee Coalition, the longer your troops remain in combat, the more damage they can dish out! With that in mind, you may want to take advantage of this Coalition’s bonus for Detachment B, as it will increase the HP of all the Troops included in it.

When your attackers receive damage, the damage they deal increases by +0.3% stacking up to +30%.
LevelBonus
1Detachment B has +12% HP
2Detachment B has +15% HP
3Detachment B has +18% HP
4Detachment B has +21% HP
5Detachment B has +24% HP
6Detachment B has +26% HP
7Detachment B has +28% HP
8Detachment B has +30% HP

Indians
If you’re focused on bolstering your defenses, the Indian Coalition can certainly help with that! Your buildings that shoot attackers (excluding Traps) will deal a massive burst of additional damage periodically throughout your battles.

Shooting buildings deal +100% damage once every 6 seconds.
LevelBonus
1Shooting Buildings have +12% HP
2Shooting Buildings have +15% HP
3Shooting Buildings have +18% HP
4Shooting Buildings have +21% HP
5Shooting Buildings have +24% HP
6Shooting Buildings have +26% HP
7Shooting Buildings have +28% HP
8Shooting Buildings have +30% HP

Americans
The American Coalition will no longer strictly benefit Airstrip Troops and will now expand to all Attackers. This includes attackers spawned from other units and Troop Tactics! They also increase the movement speed of your non-plane attackers that aren’t in a detachment!

When an attacker destroys a defender, it gains +0.5% DMG. When an attacker destroys a defensive building, it gains +3% DMG. These bonuses stack up to +30% in total.
LevelBonus
1Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +8% faster
2Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +9% faster
3Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +10% faster
4Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +11% faster

6Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +13% faster
7Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +14% faster
8Non-plane Attackers not in a Detachment move +15% faster

Russians
The Russian Coalition now focuses on Defender-spawning buildings. This Coalition will now add a stationary cannon defender to the first defender spawn wave. This additional Defender will benefit from Defender Damage bonuses and Munitions applied to Ranged Siege.

Stables, Garrisons, Bunkers & Rocket Arsenals deploy 1 stationary Cannon defender in their first wave.
LevelBonus
1Defenders have +12% HP
2Defenders have +15% HP
3Defenders have +18% HP
4Defenders have +21% HP

Ethiopians
The Ethiopian Coalition offers a mixture of attack and defense benefits, and adds the unique bonus of disabling traps. Having a Commander near your allied Troops and Buildings will increase their damage output too! It’s important to note that this Coalition can no longer be picked up on War Day.

When attacking, the first Trap of each type that would be triggered is instead disabled for the entire battle.
LevelBonus
1When your attacking troops, defenders and shooting buildings are within range 4 of your Commander, they deal +6% DMG
2When your attacking troops, defenders and shooting buildings are within range 4 of your Commander, they deal +8% DMG

7When your attacking troops, defenders and shooting buildings are within range 4 of your Commander, they deal +18% DMG
8When your attacking troops, defenders and shooting buildings are within range 4 of your Commander, they deal +20% DMG

Filipinos
The Filipino Coalition benefits both attacking and defending Troops, and makes traps more potent. You’d benefit greatly by keeping your Commander near your Troops and Buildings, too, as allied Troops within the Commander’s proximity will take reduced damage.

When Defending, damage dealing Traps are rearmed 45 seconds after being triggered.
LevelBonus
1When your attacking troops, defenders and shooting buildings are within range 4 of your Commander, they take -6% DMG
2When your attacking troops, defenders and shooting buildings are within range 4 of your Commander, they take -8% DMG

Glory Decay Update
For update 13.4, we’re making adjustments to the Glory Decay system within Tournament of Glory. Alliances from Established to Iconic Division will now only see a decay of two stars below their current rank and will never decay below their current Division.

Alliances within the Triumphant Division will not be affected by these changes. An Alliance can still be demoted to a lower Division from all other means.

New Legendary Artifacts & Mythical Artifacts
New Legendary Artifacts and 8 Mythical Artifacts are on the way to DomiNations! You’ll start to see news on these Artifacts and their stat bonuses around late spring, early summer.

Quality of Life Updates

Spying Update
Since the addition of Councilors and Manufactory Munitions, the demand for us to update Spying in World War has increased, and rightfully so! We’re happy to share that with this update, you’ll not only be able to view the most up-to-date information regarding the Library and University, but also what Munitions your enemies have equipped, and their Council Chambers!

IMG_6287.jpg

Replay Updates
Our next pass at Replays has been focused on stability and backend improvements. We’ve implemented tooling for our replay system to better identify spawn locations of certain units. Going forward, our replay tweaks and updates will be more incremental as we continue to fine-tune the accuracy. Although this update probably won’t be impactful to most players, we wanted to update you on the progress we’re making.

See Troops Brought to Battle

To further support your post-battle analysis, we’re also introducing an updated post-battle screen. When reviewing post-battle information, you’ll see two tabs above the Troops lost. One will show Troops lost as usual, but the other will show ‘Troops Brought Into Battle’.

IMG_0118.png
IMG_0119.png

This addition can help you better understand your opponent’s strategies and see how you might put together your own army in future battles!

Additional Updates
  • Fixed an issue where the Troop Tactics window would ‘jump’ to another position after making a selection that would use all of a current Troop Tactic.
    • The scroll position of the Troop Tactic menu should now remain in place after making a selection.
  • Fixed an issue where the First Aid Duration stat of the Fire Breathing Bunny Fossil Legendary Artifact wasn’t taking effect.
  • Fixed an issue where Attack Helicopters would reposition themselves after their first rocket.
  • Fixed an issue where simultaneous donations on the last of a Troop Request would result in one donation going through, and others would lose resources.
    • Going forward in this scenario, one donation will be accepted, and the rest will see their resources returned.
  • Library research ‘Fully Loaded Offense’ Chapter 3 will now apply correctly to Airstrip Troops.
    • Information window for these troops will also reflect the updated stat totals if they meet the requirements.
Edit: We've just added an update to 13.4 where players can now use the effects of Coaltions in Friendly Challenges!

Update 3/10/26: Due to a delay in the submission process, we will need to extend the suspension of World War matchmaking. We will reactivate World War matchmaking after the 13.4 force update is available to all players and platforms.

Update 3/11/26: The fix for simultaneous donations failed our QA process and will not be included in the 13.4 Update. The delay in our submission review was not caused by this; the fix was removed prior to our submission. We hope to implement this fix in a future update.

Before it goes to your inboxes:

Update 13.4 is now available to all players. With the release, we've also reopened World War matchmaking (specifically at 11am ET). This update includes a hotfix to address issues with the Council Building and a network disconnect some players experienced with the Terra Cotta Army and other attacking units.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are sending all players 1000x Crowns and 5x 1d Speed Ups as compensation.

We'll be extending the Tournament of Glory Gauntlet by two weeks; it will now end on 4/20/26. Work to restore the lost glory from the WW Outage begins today as well; completing this work could take up to a week. No action is required by the impacted Alliances, as we've been tracking Glory totals since the outage.
you guys should dump this new complex garbage system . the troops are like tissue paper, no hp (Cherokee health of old) no barrack damage ( Aztecs of old) and mostly no attack speed (Mongols of old)

Really if you felt the O coals were a little strong just reduce their percent boosts from 76%% to like 50%, that’s all, simple , incremental , easy to understand for all, and likely get the balance you want and wouldn’t destroy old METAS people spent time and money on.

Sure I guess you can recraft a whole new museum for something else And buy more councilors ($$$)
But, who wants to do that after the investment us LEGO guys put in for years, spending money on your product, loyal clients , and the time As well . Mostly time tbh, all the time crafting and rerolls. It was an investment in time for the long term since we never thought you guys would up end the entire system on us. i crafted AH musiem, then that was nerfed, then crafted a fighter museum , that was nerfed, crafted a LEGO and bomber war museum , both nerfed. This is how you reward people that play your game for years and keep you I business ?
I also drafted a D museum. I am 100% NOT crafting anymore sets Or spending another dime on this game . This is a ludicrous slap in the face to loyal clients .
It would have been so easy to just just reduce their percent boosts of the boosts and extend to all troops not just barracks or mortars to have more viable options , that’s all, simple , incremental , easy to understand for all, and likely to get balance you want .
it’s mind boggling irresponsible and a ludicrous slap in the face to loyal clients who built our Strats AROUND THE COALS YOU MADE !

In our alliance family alone we had 4 players out right quit game , 3 more opt out of wars and others likely to follow . I’ve stopped playing my Os as much as I can and just now play my Ds more.

This new system is absolute crazy random , complex off the cuff like no thought was put into it crap
And people are actually quitting as we speak .

Don’t listen to the usual Defender contingent that complains constantly about O being OP. They been saying that forever . Everytime a new meta comes they want it nerfed, fighters, bombers, lego. And now I am sure they will whine about APCs too.
offense is where your bread is buttered, we spend more, have to in order to keep stocked on squadrons , recons and tups we use in every attack.
piss off the O players at your own risk, you may find it wasnt a financially smart move.
Thats not to say defenders don’t need a fair game of course they do, and that was possible with simpler less radical solution , but this radical move left long time investors pissed and now fleeing .
So I don’t see how this is good for your business or the morale of most of your gaming community save some defenders and whales .
i hope you reconsider this debacle ,

respectfully SBG

They should remove air troops; they're useless now.
This update ruined it for me. I don't want to use detachments, so why are they forcing me? I was already very inactive because I couldn't launch wars, and I'm going to quit the game for good. I'm sorry.
I dedicated a lot of time and money to it, but I don't see anything I used to like anymore.

Well personally I dont think anyone can say how this going shake out. But apc MRL and other combos are flourishing now.

As far defenders go not having extra hp from coal on AA leave us open.

The sky is not falling folks nor should any knee jerk reactions happen either. If folks remember it’s was pushing a year D was super easy 5 star. Now you might have to be good at some other than Leggo but bases are falling and sub 2 min range still. Just with apc and heli or apc and MRL etc different combo that O players have been screaming for.

Great update BHG I hope it all shakes out to be one of best update yet. Thanks again

Are APCs and MRLs only a thing now? I've been using this combo in 2 accts for almost a year - I'm surprised veteran players don't have 2-3 combo choices in their arsenal.
But I suppose the elite of the elite - or the narrowly focused - only spend vigorously on one combo at a time, yeah?

Well AH is rocking Apc is Rocking MRL Rocking …but the sky is falling because defense might stand a slim chance. But that is funny cause APC are rolling thru base in about 1:30 to 1:50.

Why cause the player is lucky? No because he was smart enough to see writing on wall when BHG started pushing APC lines in muse and prepaired.

I say again this was good update overall.

The wars is in full swing, and various battle replays have been published on messengers.

Bombers are destroying 3D bases.
APCs are destroying 3D bases.
MLRS are destroying 3D bases.

If you can't do it, it means you simply don't know how to play. You need to learn, as well as collect more powerful artifacts in the Museum, cards in the Council, and upgrade your ammunition in the Manufactory.

Defenders suffered more from the coalition rebalancing than attackers. Egyptians used to provide both damage and hp to defensive buildings. Maoris used to provide both damage and hp to all defenders. But now, damage and hp have been split between coalitions.

The Russians no longer provide bonus hp and damage to air defenses, and buildings that deploy defenders no longer have a hp bonus. As a result, the base now has significantly less overall hp than before. Furthermore, all bonus percentages for coalitions have been reduced.

Of course, this is slightly offset by additional damage and attack range, but it doesn't have a significant impact.

If you still haven't understood this, then you're better off changing the game to one that better suits your level of intelligence.
For example, Tetris.
I am the leader of Portugal Elite, usually top100 alliance… so I can say I knew how to play, but you are right, now I don’t, and I don’t have the patience to start over again. But maybe it’s just me. Good luck for those who continue.

I'm playing on Alliance 7.62. I have two accounts, O and D. We've had two WWs. The game has become much more interesting and unpredictable.

A few years ago, no one knew how to play with mortars and artillery, but a little time passed and most attackers began to use this set in battle

When it comes to learning how to fight, battles against stronger opponents in WW are necessary.
However, some people dislike fighting stronger opponents.
And those who have refused to fight superior opponents are lamenting.
It's not too late to challenge higher-ranked opponents.
Try to imitate the combat formations of higher-ranked teams and make efforts to match their statistics.

@Harlems369th
A funny bug has been found.

If the player has the Ethiopian coalition installed, then during a defensive battle, the warriors of this coalition will appear as attackers, not defenders, and will immediately engage nearby tank defenders. Moreover, the Kagnew warriors will most likely win and rush to destroy nearby buildings. Saboteurs!

If the player has the Filipino coalition installed and you launch an attack, then when coalition troops land, all MD500 helicopters will instantly die.

You can easily verify this in World War attack replays.

Game optimization, particularly graphics and animation, has also become a pressing issue. When a battle involves numerous APCs or Black Hawk Medics, a huge number of infantry, medics, and machine gunners appear. Their movement animations and area-of-effect attacks (from Explosive Rounds of Manufactory) lead to freezing and stuttering. As a result, combat or replays become extremely uncomfortable, with extremely low frame rates. This occurs even on the most high-performance devices: phones, tablets, and when playing on PC at dominationsworld.com.

This fix is becoming a high priority for QoL as many players have started using APC.

I use heavy tank and fighter attacks; on another account, I use helicopters and fighters.
Now, fighters die no matter how good your museum is.
I have to group my helicopters and deploy them like troop tactics to gain coalition benefits.
I repeat, i don't want to use detachments. Do you want to force me? Well, those are your rules. Don't count on me continuing to participate in world wars. Welcome to the age of farmers.

You're not forced to use detachments. What were you doing before the introduction of detachments? Just keep doing that.

Edited: I used coalitions when I meant to write "detachments"

I don't understand the point of your message. Before the update, I used the coalitions corresponding to my troops. Now I lose 50% of them for not using detachments. Does that sound fair to you? I've been playing since 2018, and the coalitions have always been there; weren't they before?

Even non-detachment teams can receive benefits, you know?
For example, the movement speed boost effect for American troops also applies to paratroopers.

Adapt to the detachment.
It's wrong to complain about not being able to adapt to new things.
Don't end up like me, an old man who couldn't adapt to mortars and is still using attack helicopters.
But I didn't despair; I continued to believe in attack helicopters. As a result, as I've written before.
My time to be unstoppable may have arrived, lol.
If you also don't want to use detachments, then keep believing in a formation that doesn't use detachments.
