we need more balance between defense and offense,
Defense fill way over power now which made to many players switch to defense. Any plan for that ?

Hello AMA
What makes DOMINATIONS soo gud and stand apart from other similar kind of games is the possibility to built and make different combinations work

I understand the devs do much effort to make as many troops for offence and buildings for defence as effective as possible

The simplest way to achieve more and more probability,combos possible is adding more NATIONS n COALITION

Especially coalition plays a hugee role in the game why not have more verity and make players go and develop in different directions?

Any plan to give instant upgrade to defensive buildings like you did on economy's?
It will help lot's of players to jump.

Hey there. I have a simple problem that you can easily fix. Sometimes when I try to open my game it gives "Someone is scouting your base" or "your base is under attack" etc. warnings.

And sometimes the attacks don't give peace treaty protection and while I am waiting some other player starts to scout my base. Sometimes I get 3 consecutive attacks.

It is boring. But if I am trying to make my last minute ww attack it is painful to miss it.

Welcome to our first DomiNations Forum AMA session! Over the next two hours we’ll open this forum thread to any questions that you may have regarding our future roadmap for the game. To participate in the AMA make sure that your questions follow these guidelines:

To get started, we’ll share what we have in the pipeline for DomiNations in the near future.



Replays
Replays have been a longstanding issue in the game, and we redoubled our efforts to fix them. We’ve created a new internal testing framework to help identify the causes of replay issues. This has already resulted in some major fixes that are making their way through our QA team now. While these fixes have tested very well internally and are set to come out soon, they won’t solve all of our findings, but this first set of fixes will create a substantial start!

As we expand our test cases, we will continue to fix issues as they arise. Our goal is to have as many fixes as possible released with or before our upcoming Tournament of Glory release. We’ve developed a new system that will do better at detecting the desyncs in replays, which can cause things like Forest Defenders spawning in areas that don’t match the attacker’s point of view, or more than possible Air Troops to appear in a replay. We are also in a much better position to identify and stay on top of replay accuracy issues in the future!

New Feature: Detachments
Real-time battles are at the very core of what makes DomiNations fun, but have you ever wished you had more control over your troops and generals after you deployed them? Over the past 9+ years, we have greatly expanded what players can do in battle, but for the 10th anniversary, we are planning to give attackers of all Ages a powerful new way to organize, deploy, and rally groups of troops and Generals in battle. We call them Detachments.
  • Players may build up to three detachments using their army’s barracks/factory troops and generals
  • When a detachment is deployed in battle, all generals and troops in that detachment are rapidly deployed in that location (similar to how Mercenaries are deployed)
  • During a battle, a deployed detachment may be rallied separately from the rest of the player’s army
We have been sharing our prototypes with long-term players to gather feedback and ensure that Detachments best meet the needs of the DomiNations community. We can’t wait to share this feature with even more of you!

Upcoming Manufactory Changes
Manufactory is one of our newer features and one that we are extremely excited to expand upon in the future. We have many plans for Manufactory not only for the Ages that currently get to interact with it but also into the future for Robotics Age and beyond.

We have some big plans in store for the future of crafting in DomiNations, but we aren’t quite ready to officially announce any of that just yet. Rest assured though, the Manufactory will continue to improve and expand with new features and exciting opportunities for you to craft and personalize your Base and Troops in the future.

Future World War Fixes
World War is a feature that we plan to pay very close attention to over the next year, first with our huge new feature in the form of Tournament of Glory. These new competitive Leaderboards are for you and your Alliance to rise through the ranks. The goal is to not only become the best Alliance in DomiNations but also earn some incredible exclusive rewards.

We are also aware of some of the issues some Alliances often have with Matchmaking in World War and are hard at work on gathering data to make improvements to the Matchmaking system and to ensure World War is as fun and balanced as possible for all of your alliances.



This is just the tip of the iceberg for what you can look forward to as we head into 2025. We hope that these small reveals have given you a great starting point for today’s AMA. We now open the floor to you to ask questions, and members of the Development team will be sharing their answers!
Here are some recommendations that have never been implemented by your team .

Add another 3 or 6 extra slots for War bases and multiplayer home slots . It’s extremely tiresome , time consuming and even discouraging having to delete previous top lay outs to build new ones . Why not make it 6 or 9 so we don’t have to spend countless hours , days , weeks , even months or years replacing old ones with new ones as the meta changes in the game ? You could also give us the ability to copy paste a war base onto a multiplayer slot. Most of the top players on the medals leaderboard build war bases on all multiplayer slots because that’s the only way to have an extra 3 war bases and that the only way to get player to attack them to improve trap placement etc. Please give some thoughts to this .

Recon and paratroopers are the biggest destroyers of defence and have been for years since the introduction of recon on the digital age . The recon damage increase to all buildings literally turns all buildings on a defensive base into paper buildings it completely nullifies defence . Why not reduce recon scan damage bonus by 30 to 50 percent so that vital defences such as air defences have a genuine chance to survive withstand the slaughter of top offensive museums such as fighter damage by 160 percent and bombers damage by 129 percent etc ? As it stands , I can run 191 to 200 percent AllDefTowers hp with 160 to 180 adtd , with whatever combo on the manufacture , and they still get blown up in a single pass or two of fighters with recon or bombers with recon . Bombers damage needs to be nerfed as well it’s simply unstoppable not a single structure on the entire game has a chance of surviving . Paratroopers as well are completely broken and need to be nerfed . Not a single senior hitter on the game who has been playing for long will fly on purpose over an air defence to lose them . So realistically what happens every time is they drop all paras right below air def or nearby , and then they literally walk over to where they are and destroy them . 3 paratroopers airplanes can easily take out 40 to 50 percent of an entire base effortlessly, including the silo , and the town center , which are vital structures for defence .Why not make it so that when paratroopers fly over spawning buildings those buildings start spawning defenders already ? Or so that when paratroopers deploy spawning buildings start spawning already ?Please take this into consideration .

Lastly , you could also finally introduce Council load outs it’s so tiring having to switch them one by one when we log off . And you could also implement a stronger reporting system from within wars , that is actually active during wars , that sends some sort of warning to your team when a player or team has engaged in cheating . A lot of top players that cheat wait until the very last minute of war to do their dirty war attacks with coalitions or troops boosted damage on the last minute of war to avoid getting caught and banned . It’s a very common practice specially at top 10 level . I think this would help flush out even better faster the many cheats that linger at top 20 level .

Even time discounts when they have resource discounts would help. I don't find resource discounts particularly useful now.

2) Museums are experiencing loadout issues on World War server. The player can see all of their gear that is assigned to one self, but the Domination Server doesn’t register the gear as being equipped. Do the programmers know what is causing this issue? – Phantom loadout seems to trigger often, if you don’t unassigned all your gear before leaving an alliance and possibly due to Friendly Challenges during World War being active.

We are still trying to isolate the exact problems that are occurring here sadly. We have been narrowing down the problem but our Museum system is one of the most complicated systems in the game... 😅

I’m curious as to why you decided to use this format versus the video format that was used over the years. The video format gave us a chance to meet BHG staff and to see new features coming to Dominations.
Would also like you to give us a preview as to what is coming in Robotic Age including new troop types, buildings, wonders and graphics.
We felt that this would be much easier to give questions the proper time, similar to a reddit AMA. It would be difficult to keep up in a stream or video. The Robotics Age isn't quite ready to share at this time.

Game Development:

Clarification on how DPS works for each troop? The actual dmg per shot and fire rate needs to be added to each troop. Similar to what we see on MRL troops with each rocket volley showing dmg per rockets fired.

Better methods to claim National Trade Good or a total rework as most Auto Age players have no point of doing Main Hall Battles anymore due to max upgraded buildings and research.

Friendly challenges need fixed too. We would like for coalitions, and war strongholds, and war TC troop spawns to work properly.

When are you guys going to solve this issue seriously we are too depressed and it kills our enthusiasm to play your wonderful game .

Will you implement more functionality and better control of troops for battles in dominations world ?
Thank you for your feedback! We're certainly interested in ways we can make the PC version more accessible without accidentally giving those players an unfair advantage over mobile players. It is a delicate balancing act, but definitely something we are interested in addressing.

I didn't say resources discount.
Instant building is time discount. It was for economy's buildings, now is time for defensive buildings.

Development and future events:

New idea for the devs:

Create new events for council much like those for the museum.

Ideas
---------
- better odds for when you fuse
- better odds for when you open chests
- double the number of daily cards
- fusing purples brings up a dialogue box to choose among 10 councillors without a reroll. This combats the high number of councillors and the high difficulty of getting what you want.

Better method to convert resources to another for people always full on gold, food, or oil. They can trade for rubies, councilor cards, Tactical Troops, or NTG supplies.

Instant building is time discount. It was for economy's buildings, now is time for defensive buildings.
I know, id love it too, but i was suggesting another way they could help with the same issue, without going for full 0 time upgrade.

Revamping wonders due to reduce training troop timer changes in latest patch? Looking at Pentagon – Reduction in air troop timer is insignificant now.

A lot of wonders need an overhaul and be made great again. They're wonders for a reason. They should have more special buffs.

Really said ya would have answer. Well I am asking again when will actual proof as in a Battle Report that is accurate be provided. This should not be hard to provide and should have been provided again I don’t care replays I just want to know what used against my base in war is legit. Thank you again
