Detachments - Great Feature

@Harlems369th Detachments are a fantastic addition, and the “Prepare for Battle” screen looks great while feeling fresh and engaging. However, there are a couple of things to consider:
1. The war screen feels cluttered. Removing the ‘Available loot’ box could help, as we already know what resources we’ll gain before the attack.
2. The Rally button should be moved back to its original position, leaving only the Detachment rallies on the right—hand side of the screen.
3. Detachments should have no troop limitations—players should be able to choose any troops they want for each detachment (A, B, and C), including those from the Mercenary Camp and TT’s.

they could show up on the second row, on top of where your troops usually show up, so they take less screen space. alternatively, they could show up on the main troop row but with bigger icons where they indicate the amount of troops that's left(like three small numbers)

You can close the "Loot" text by clicking on the "Chest" in the upper right corner which clears the screen considerably (although it does add a second or two to what you have to do before "reconnaissance").

We can go further with this - the rally is already built into the detachment groups on the bottom. We can be rid of A,B,C rally. Just add the timer to the group on the bottom. They can move the main rally function back near the drone command again. @Harlems369th

For doing Lego Mortars attack in war, it's great able deploys all barack troops with A B C .

- Remove detachments troops at bottom tray, save space and we might not even need to scroll horizontally.
Reason for this is that we don't care about these troops and how many dead.

- Current 4 rally buttons on the right side is fine, some can use them when they have time..
I don't really have time to click those A B C rally button, have to find out where are they (and how many alive? :p) before rally them to a target building.
Too busy click on tactics, drone, Recon, Transports, coalition troops, Merc., Khan, Satelite scan, Blitz,..
I will rather just use the main rally if need.

Bomber / Fighter attacks won't even use detachments since they tend to spread troops across the base.

I'm betting we're going to be getting a lot of these "I want to deploy all my troops in the quickest possible time" comments 😄

Agreed. Who wants to send their troops on a possible suicide run?

Good write up. The troop # limit needs to be eliminated for sure! Until it does detachments are unusable

Your. list is great if they could just let us deploy the detachments with the same botton we use to rally the and eliminate the bottom troops once the detachment is deployed would help make things smoother.

I prefer having all the buttons in the bottom tray, as that’s where our eyes and fingers focus on. If the detachment troops could be consolidated into three buttons A, B, and C in the bottom tray, it would save space. The red rally button could probably return to its original spot.

It would be nice if one were able to toggle the detachments feature on or off. By toggling it off there would be no added screen clutter. If I had many hundreds of individual units I might use this feature. That not being the case I have no use for it.

The funniest thing is that the new buttons on the right are not needed at all. You can click on the Detachment at the bottom and click on the map (building/point) and they will perform a battle rally. In fact, we now have two buttons on the screen that perform the same function, while part of the screen is taken away. This is absurd...

You are correct, so the Rally button should just be moved back to original position and all other rally buttons removed.

I like the 4 Rally button on the right-hand side. Better to clear the many icons of the grouped troops from view (move to the end). This creates space for the important things: Aircraft and tactics.
Personally I often forget to rally cause I do not see the button on the right side.

Could you please briefly explain what the advantage of this is? Or the disadvantage of my suggestion?
Swiping left and right was already annoying anyway. Now the tray is even longer, so even more swiping. For example, because The Art of War is no longer congruent with SunTzu, because one icon for heavy tank has become 3, and 4 icon mortar attack has become 8 icons. This means that the icons for aircraft and tactics, which you need regularly instead of just once, are less and less in view.
As the contrast is much higher, it's easier to see whether Rally is available on the right-hand Rally button than in the tray.
Why do I need up to 4 icons in the tray that trigger the same rally? Wouldn't one be enough?
I only see disadvantages, but I'm happy to change my mind.
You don’t need to use the detachment rally buttons on the right hand side at all to perform a rally with A, B or C. Just select let say A, drop your detachment then click on a building and it will rally to that point.

that is why we say we do not need the extra buttons. it is just more icons at the screen
and the normal rally should be where it always was

I understood the function, but that doesn't solve the problem of overview.
it is just more icons at the screen
That's exactly my point. Why do you want up to 12 grouped troop icons in the middle of the tray when the same function can also be displayed with 3 rally icons.
