Council: Gold not Crowns

The last couple of times I got a new councilor card the main page showed I was due (the usual) Crowns but when I clicked on the collect button I got an animation that showed coins being collected instead of crowns.
I'm not 100% sure what I got as I didn't note my Crown count before I collected my reward.

Has anyone else seen this?
It has happened to me the last 3-4 times I've collected from the council... I will try to remember to write down my Crown count next time.

Weird... it has happened to me at least twice...

This actually did just happen to me today- went to collect a crown from a councilor and it showed the animation for gold. However, I did make note of my crowns before and after and it was my crowns that went up - not gold. So it's just a visual glitch with the animation I think. Definitely make note of your rss next time and give it a check afterwards to be sure.

I know what I saw but I was beginning to doubt my sanity (and not for the first time... ).

Customer Service assured me that I got my Crowns.
I hope someone reads this (and/or my CS ticket) and realizes the animation is in error.
It'd be nice to have what you see in the game be what actually happens.
