Chat not available plus not troop request possible

Hey there,
Since a few hours the chat stopped working, it is saying it isn’t available right now. No chat messages are shown, canny type messages myself plus - worst case now during world war - I can’t request troops from my alliance. Anyone ever encountered this issue and knows how to fix it? I am on iOS device and some of my teammates also have this issue, but not everyone.
